At this point, I've used about 75 of these discs for burning. They are fairly good. On occasion, I've run across an error prior to the burn. However if I put that disc to the side and try it again later, it will usually work the second time. I can't say why, but that seems to be the way it is.So far, I've only come across one which wouldn't finish the writing process. One coaster out of 75 discs is a fairly good return rate. They also retain the ink very well when printing on the discs. (I use an Epson Stylus Photo R220.)

First, it's only 2.4X PERIOID. No lower, no higher.Check your burner's suggestions to see if it works. I rip from an LG 4166b light scribe, & burn to an LG 4167B. I've had a few erros using this disc, but most have been program errors. I wasn't too happy w/Verbatim, for dl dvds. I like this disc. I just bought 50 more. I used it (via RiTek) on my older single burner of IOmega. They were pricey at that time. Find the disc that your drive wants. it has always been about that. I've never had a good Memorex dvd as yet. Because, I don't have a Memorex drive. Or one that likes them. It all depends on the dye that is used, for the laser burning. I will say that I have had data lost, through Nero Suite 6+ . I just use a single layer RW or RAM disc. Bottom line. If you can't lose it, put it on an HDD (Hard disk drive). I hope this helps.

No successful burns yet,

I've gone through half of my 25-pack and each one has resulted in a failed burn, on two different drives (Sony and LG) and all different speeds. I get perfect burns at default settings with Verbatim DL blanks, so I will be sticking with Verbatim from now on. I appreciate that everyone will have different experiences, but I can't personally recommend the product as it has been a complete failure for me.

I have purchased 100(about to be more) of these particular discs and have had only one coaster(bad burn) thus far. I am using a Dell Inspiron 5150(P4 3.06 GHz with hyper threading and 1280 MB DDR2700) with an HP DVD 840d. Burn time is a little slower than what is available out there(approx. 45 min.) for a full dual layer disc, but I will pay $1.40 per disc versus almost $3.00 for Verbatim dual layers. Great disc, great price, where can you go wrong?P.S. For those of you like myself, who print on the discs, I have had good luck with minimal smearing on my Epson Stylus Photo RX580. I have printed 60+ discs and haven't had to change my ink cartridges. I just wish they would put a hub printable version on sale.

This is my first Double Layer DVDR purchase.I used with my Emprex burner(says support dl, even Nero infotool says it support), it did not work. I then bought Pioneer 710 from Fry's for like $45, and burned a disc with no problem. Now if you want to make a backup of your DVD, all you have to do is read iso in dvd decryptor, then write iso out to this dl dvd+R. no more ifoedit, disk split and all that. The burned disk plays on both Sony and Panasonic s52 player(which was also bought here at amazon), but not on my Apex(I didn't expect it either, it's among the earliest dvd players)

Excellent performance and value for the price. I was hesitant at first but worries disappeared after the first 10 burns.
