I received this as a gift... And I have to say that I had no problems with none of the discs. I have burned so far only 22 of 50 disc on both sides and I am still using the backups that I recorded.
Is a great product, 100% recommended.

I've been ordering these online for a while since I can never find them in stores. I've always thought the DVD format's ability to use both sides of the disc was pretty cool, but most recordable discs are only 1-sided. These allow you to combine two single-layer discs onto a 'flipper', thus cutting in half the amount of space the discs take up. I've used these for many old TV show recordings that I've transferred to disc from tape, keeping similar material together. You can fit almost as much material on a 1-sided dual-layer disc, but some players have a hard time playing those and the longevity of those discs hasn't been tested yet.

The first generation of these were hard to label, given that the center of the discs were clear. Ritek has since started printing a label in the middle of both sides, which are easy to write on although much space is taken up by the Ritek logo and other less useful info. (Meanwhile the current regular 2-sided DVD releases have tended to include printing only on one side!)

Yes, you have to handle these a bit more carefully given that data is on both sides, but you ought to do that with all media regardless. I just wish they were able to make recordable discs that were dual-layer on both sides, but that doesn't seem likely given the disastrous results with commercial DVD-18 releases such as those manufactured by Technicolor in Mexico for Universal, which led to them reissuing many titles on 1-sided discs.
