5.0 out of 5 stars The Device Works!!!
I can tell you from personal experience that Riddex Pro works on mice. I use two devices in my place. Before I plugged them in, I had a bad mice problem. A couple days after I started using Riddex, the mice disappeared. I have been mice and mice dropping free for about three months. Contrary to what some reviewers are saying, the device works!!! I think the problem is...

1.0 out of 5 stars Completely worthless
We purchased two of these units direct from the company, and after a couple of months of use, we have noticed that not only have they not solved our roach problem, but roaches seem to be drawn to them. Any time of the day or night there are roaches on, around, and behind the unit. Frankly, it's creepy.

We try to keep a clean, sustainable, chemical-free home...

We try to keep a clean, sustainable, chemical-free home and don't want to use poisons around our pets (or ourselves), but honestly, don't waste your money on this.

1.0 out of 5 stars Busted in tests!, November 2, 2008
We purchased 4 of these, then set up a clear acrylic test box with outlets in each side.
We then put 50 roaches in the box, plugged in a unit, ensured it was indeed powered on and watched.
The roaches not only didn't mind the unit, were not repulsed by the unit, they crawled all over it just as much as they crawled anywhere in the box.

We plugged in each unit and repeated the test with the same results.
The roaches didn't run, didn't try to avoid, didn't do anything but keep right on crawling where they wanted to despite four units working in a box two foot square.

1.0 out of 5 stars SALE OF THIS ITEM BANNED!, July 9, 2008
In 2003 the FTC required proof of RIDDEX's claims. From what I have read, the product has since been banned from sale. The ads still run on some cable channels for which they will likely be fined. I imagine they will continue to sell the product until the fines outweigh the profits. Here is the government FTC report:

There are other, more detailed accounts of this subject if you google it.

My personal experience with this type of product has not been good. I purchased a similar product from Home Depot. We got it because we noticed a mouse in our bedroom. We plugged the unit in, and within a week the house was crawling with the rodents! It is as if the thing ATTRACTED mice rather then repelled them! I could hear the device when all was quiet. It made me edgy and I found it difficult to sleep. We didn't have children at the time and decided to use Decon. Poison was not our ideal solution but it worked. The mice, all of them, were gone inside of a week.

1.0 out of 5 stars The worst waste of money ever, April 30, 2008
Unless you are looking for a night light...this product does nothing, but light up. These units do not work. The only thing that works on these is the lights. Even the lights that are suppose to work that says your unit is working do work as they are suppose to...but this does not rid our living space of anything.

We raise and breed dogs...using no traps or poisons is important to us. I purchased these units despite the reviews because my Aunt swears by hers. Although she bought hers 10 yrs ago from QVC.

BUYER BEWARE...unless you are looking for night lights this product will not work.

1.0 out of 5 stars Riddex Plus Sucks, November 25, 2007

Don't buy this product it does not work. I had it and after using it for 2 months I had more roaches than before I purchased it. Also the company Riddex Plus is a terrible company to do business with. First the chareded me $17.90 cents to ship to little boxes. They advertise buy one get one free for $29.95 however, If you are unsatified with the product they want you to pay for the shipping back to them This is understandable. However, they want you to pay for the shipping for the so called free unit. If it is free I should not have to pay for the shipping to send it back. Don't waste your money on this garbage. Trust me I used it in to differen homes and did not work. The roaches ignored it.

1.0 out of 5 stars Riddex Rip-Off, June 26, 2008
By
There is no wonder why the FTC is constantly going after the company that manufactures these products. They keep releasing them under different names but the fact of the matter is.......THEY DO NOT WORK. There are NO INDEPENDENT studies and there is NO scientific evidence that suggests that EMP (Electromagnetic Pulses)"annoy pests" or "drive them away". None. There is also some concern, based on complaints across the Internet, that the company's financial practices leave a lot to be desired. Remember.......If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Save your money. Save yourself some aggravation. Don't buy this "rip-off" product.

1.0 out of 5 stars Cheaper than a shoe, but less effective, July 1, 2008
By
Riddex is great for killing insects and roaches, but only if you don't plug it in. Instead, just throw it at them. Much more effective that way

1.0 out of 5 stars Don't waste your money!, February 11, 2008

Yollee (Brooklyn, NY) - See all my reviews
My mum lives in a tiny studio apartment in the popular Fort Greene section of Brooklyn, N.Y.

Fed up with the unrelenting mice and roach problem she was experiencing, I ordered RIDDEX in October and prayed that it would be the solution to her problem.

We didn't see anything for about 6 weeks... the answer we were praying for we thought had finally come.

I visited mum- in early December and just before I sat down in front of the TV, something caught my eye over by the stove.

Long behold mum's uninvited guests had returned. Gingerly walking around (like it owned the place) was a dirty, looking, dark brown/grey mouse. YUCK!!!!!

Had to call the exterminator back to come first thing the next morning.

I should have known better, after all mice and roaches have been around in NY forever and a day... as if some device that claims to "create an impenetrable force field against mice and roaches, in the walls of your home" is really going to work. NOT!

Riddex was a waste of money and brought our hopes up only to bring them crashing down.

UPDATE: Riddex- is still not working!!! Mum caught a mouse on the trap this past Saturday and there is still one running about! DOUBLE YUCK!!!

1.0 out of 5 stars Garbage, July 11, 2008
This product is garbage. Period.

I have never written a review because I felt it was a waste of time and energy. Maybe if I would have read some of the earlier customer thoughts I would not have made this finacial mistake. Its not the money, its the principle although if they get $25.00 out of you and $25.00 out of me and $25.00 from her............... I'm sure you get where I am going with this.

Why are these people in business? It will take a collective effort to have products like this and businesses that sell them SHUT DOWN.
Angry- no.
Dissapointed- Incredibly

How do I rate Riddex Plus- Is garbage, trash, useless a actual rating? Do not waste your money. Trust me.

I bought one of these and wish I had not. You can go to sec.gov and look at all the complaints about it.
