Explorer Boniface Sapwood is forced to take his three young children on an expedition when the babysitter bales out. The family encounters ghosts and villains as they seek treasure in the Antarctic. James Saxon is at his best as he regales listeners with corny banter, a memorable villain, and punch lines like, "Oops, the bomb slipped from my hand." The kooky tale is probably more entertaining for adults since the explorers sit in the middle of nowhere sipping champagne and answering to names like Rancid Swarthy.
