Texas Hippie Coalition - Turn It Up

Biography

Rock ‘n’ roll is all about cutting loose. It’s about throwing back a few drinks, raising your hands, banging your head, and living out loud. Texas Hippie Coalition cook up the soundtrack to your “good time” with their fourth full-length album, Ride On [Carved Records]. Their countrified blues riffs simmer with metallic edge, while each chorus ignites a ... Read more in Amazon's Texas Hippie Coalition Store

Editorial Reviews

'Ride On' is Texas Hippie Coalition's third release from Carved Records. 'Ride On' embraces their southern roots while continuing to show the band's growth in sound and song writing. Texas Hippie Coalition aren't simply about making sure the outlaw rock style they worship stays alive. They want it to continue to evolve infusing it with a modern edge and energy. That evolution has been achieved with 'Ride On'.

Customer Reviews

Great rock and roll with lots of Southern attitude.

Great album/CD. Good hard driving rock n' roll. Big Dad Ritch's deep voice really comes through as well as Cord Pool's amazing guitar playing. Love every song on the album. If you like good old fashioned rock with with a sourthern flair, this album is a can't miss.

I just got it and I like it but it really doesn't have that raw and unique sound in the guitars and bass like THC did in earlier albums... it seems they lost a little bit of their outlaw badass edge .... Randy Coppers lead and the other prior guitar play who was in the band playing at the same time as Randy Cooper added something that is now missing ....Pride of Texas the first Album is the one that is special to me ....

There have been a number of disappointing releases in the world of hard rock the last 6 months or so. This ain't one of em'. Could very well be their best effort yet. Solid from start to finish. This is one of those albums you put on to check it out and can't take the damn thing off. The production, musicianship, songwriting and of course the singing across the board, rock on, Ride on!

With two new members in the fold I was apprehensive but as soon as the opening bars of El Diablo Rojo cranked out I was hooked. It just got better from there. They've still got the hooks that make the THC!

Great new album from Texas Hippie Coalition & another notch on their gunbelt! I am a big fan of THC, because just like with AC/DC you know exactly what you are getting from jump! Great hard rock, solid musicianship, & Bid Daddy Ritch's take on life, women, & a good time, you know it's time to Ride on!

I thought I would miss Randy Cooper on guitar, but the new guy plays even heavier riffs! It will never be the same without Randy in the band, but I am glad they are keeping the band going! Great, heavy rock! THC!!! \m/
