4.0 out of 5 stars Blast from the Western past!, August 29, 2004
Looking for clues to find the culprits who robbed her home, Carin Sage discovers Gideon Avarest, a cowboy dressed in dated attire. She determines that an injury to his head may be the cause to his disorientated manor. But Gideon can't figure
why his life from the 1880's west isn't reflected in Carin's world of 1997 civilization. He only knows that he escaped certain death by the Earp gang who framed him for murder...and soon Carin too will share in his concerns. A mix of adventure,
western charm, and tender romance. We enjoyed!

5.0 out of 5 stars Timeless Love - Time-travel historical romance, March 12, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Due to hang for his part in a stage robbery, Gideon Avarest escapes with the help of Allie Earp, Virgil's wife. He has been framed for the robbery that was actually initiated by the Earps & Doc Holliday. Chased by Doc Holliday, Wyatt, Virgil, & Morgan Earp in a thunderstorm Gideon finds himself transported from 1881 Tombstone, Arizona to 1997 Colorado.
Carin Sage, a newspaper reporter is researching her great-great-great-aunt Allie Earp's diaries in hopes of writing an article on the history of the Earp's & Doc Holliday.
Carin finds Gideon on her land & thinks his confusion is due to a knock on the head.
After hearing Gideon's story Carin is determined to find the truth. Allie comes to them and tells them to "find the transcripts" & to "watch your back."
But the question is...did Gideon come back alone or were the Earps & Holliday somewhere near?
It's a fun time-travel book as long as you're reading it for pure entertainment. If you get picky about facts & impossibilities you won't like this book. But, if you're into a book that's for your enjoyment this is a good book.
It kept my attention & I was anxious to see how it would end.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not as exciting as the blurb on the cover, November 9, 2000
I was a bit disappointed with this book. Though the author writes well, the story moved along at a very slow pace.
