Just awful...,

Simply enough, "Archie Eversole" is not the man pictured on the cover of his album. Any rapper who name checks Bill Clinton, Michael Jackson, Michael Jordan, Oprah Winfrey, Saddam Hussein, and Bill Cosby within one minute of each other does not write his own rhymes; he has Carson Daly write them. There is little to review here. It's not even culturally significant, the one "hit-single" is completely obscure, and I'm not even going to bother reprinting the name of it here. I love 'Nsync and Puff Daddy, but Ride Wit Me: Dirty South Style is seriously MANUFACTURED. Carson's new album heavily differs from other "Dirty South" rap in that it has determinedly crappy beats and the most mundane lyricism this side of Lionel Richie. It's just awful. Archie Eversole is the Hindenburg of rap music.

HE was spittin beats and rhymes how can you say he was manufactured. Nowadays everyone uses these same types of beats yet he gets criticised this is a solid album packed with fresh beats. There isnt a track in this album that you can skip. Archie is holdin it down Highly reccomended if you like No Limit, TRU, Master P, C-Murder, T.I., Pastor Troy and Southern Rap.

I highly recomend this cd if you like any of these other rappers - UGK, Mac Mall, T.I., Jadakiss, LIl Keke, RBL Posse, 3-6 Mafia, Young Gunz, and many other dirty south rappers. First off I have to say that Archie sounds like old school UGK and that was the better UGK. I like the use of the bass lines, synths and horns. I dont care what anybody else thinks or says If you like dirty south you HAVE TO BUY this CD.

Archie Eversole burst onto the scene with the instant hit "We Ready". Borrowing from the " Na na Na Hey Hey Goodbye' song ( not actual title of the song ) he scored an instant hit in ATL. By re-releasing the single with country boy Bubba Sparxxx and adding a video to the mix....he became a name to look out for. Who was this skinny boy claiming that he's ready for war? While definitely a youngun in the game ( he has references to being 16 and 17 ), his deep booming voice coupled with his well thought out lyrics could make him a top dawg in the future. With more polishing to his technique he will be a force to be reckoned with. He also brings with him the energy of the South. Songs like `Throw A Bottle' should become hits in the elbow throwing crunk ass clubs of the South. The downfall of this album is mainly the production coupled with generic topics. Songs such as "Ride With Me", Smoke Dat Dope, Get Dat Hoe are all songs that everyone has on their album and neither his lyrics nor his beats can help these songs.Archie Eversole's debut is a good effort, but he needs to hone in his skills and diversify the production to hold your interest for longer than a month. If you have the album already by all means keep it. But if you are pondering buying it go ahead and pass on it.

Archie Eversole has a very great album herre. We Ready and We Ready Remix are great tracks and, We Ready, with Bubba Sparxxx, is an ever greater video. You gotta get this album! I'll give it 4 1/2 stars out of 5.
