Pocket Tarot for on the go,

These cards measure 1 3/4" by 3" and they fit nicely in the corner of my purse. If you are looking for a deck of tarot cards to carry with you and use in limited space, these would be ideal. I am very pleased with the choice I made to buy these.

book is quite complicated. the spreads it illustrates, are easy enough to lay out, but too hard to interpret, based on the books directions. really old and out of date. was so hard to read, that i had to order another tarot book. i possess a few decks, but i don't particularly care for the rider-waite version. i know it's one of the oldest decks, but i prefer more modern decks with a pagan theme. wouldn't buy it again.

The tarot ( /'tæro'/; first known as trionfi and later as tarocchi, tarock, and others) is a pack of cards (most commonly numbering 78), used from the mid-15th century in various parts of Europe to play a group of card games such as Italian tarocchini and French tarot. Google, wikipedia,.......get facts, investigate what you buy outside the buyer's opinion, sellers and creator's claims.Tarot cards were made for game playing. I have investigated them for about a year now and have used much articulation. Arca is the root of Arcanum. Arca means secret or mystery box in Latin. The only one who had the mystery or secret was the Artist who displayed it on the card when Tarot was manipulated in the 18th century by religious followers. Rider Waite was a Christian. You cannot get advice from an illusion created in someone's head and then painted into a picture.(illusions or castle in th sky much like 'predictions') The Arcanum titles (Ace-10, Fool, Empress and so on) already existed from the original intended purpose originated in Italy. Articulate; Emperor, Empress, Justice, Judgment...King, Queen......Roman) Taro is the name of the Italian river in Northern Italy where the cards were first made to be played with as games while gambling with money. The games were called Trick taking Games. So, an Occult came up with their own Trick idea! Trick you for money, in return for "advice". Use Your Critical thinking and Discern. They trick alright! They trick with illusions that tell you what you want to hear and feed off your fears, the cards are ambiguous and each one can relate to anything. You also go to Tarot readers when you are desperate, confused, afraid, insecure and feel out of control. That is the weakest will that enables you to get controled, Manipulated. Or, you may be so desperate that you want to believe what will validate your own denial or fears. You may see what you want to see and use the Tarot to help pretend that the cards are telling you truth instead of dealing with the Truth right in your Face!
