By A Customer
From start to finish, this book had me on the edge of my chair. It's a journey that will keep you in suspence. It's non-stop action and drama with awesome characters and deep symbolism. I loved it from start to finish and recommend it to all sci-fi audiences.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Ultimate Story for the Ultimate Warrior..., December 10, 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: Rider of the White Horse (Paperback)
Upon reading this book, I was immediately sucked into a grisly and exciting world of intense action and drama. "Rider of the White Horse" is a book as thick in plot and themes as it is in pages.

The story takes place in a post-apocalypse setting (after nuclear war and the invasion of an unnatural civilisation consisting of clone soldiers). The story picks focuses on a clone soldier who has been repressing humanity as part of a high-tech holocaust. This soldier comes to realize the true horror of so much bloodshed, and defects, joining with a town of humans struggling to fight back against the clones.

As the story progresses, it becomes clear that the story is based on the book of Revelations, which dictates the coming of a "Rider fn the White Horse" who will defeat evil. It takes on a rythm of bloody but engaging action, intruiging political drama, and emotional passion.

The book is abundant with thematic material. The good vs. evil theme is an obvious example, and is exemplified with the biblical references. There's also a strong sense of rage surrounding the main character. But towards the end, the author makes the final statement that the power of love is more powerful than the power of hate. There are various other points made as well; one other important one being a warning about using cloning technology on humans.

The only really bad thing about this book is that it had a few typos here and there. But despite these few mistakes, the author achieved a stylistic position that is neither too hard to read, or too easy to read.

I'd say that you're getting your money's worth out of this novel, and would reccommend it to anybody who's interested in a futuristic adventure. It's great for the whole 600 pages!
