To make it simple for anyone who owns a playstation and wants to add a nice little race game to the collection, check this one out. Gran Turismo is a bit too complex to be much fun, but Ridge Racer is alot of bang for the buck, with arcade style racing that any gamer can pick up quick. You will be heading to the finish line in no time flat with this fantastic game. Looking for other great playstation games, just stick with anything namco makes, soul blade, tekken 2, or tekken 3, pac-land, point blank, the list of great arcade style games goes on and on, stick with namco and you will be playing a winning game in no time flat!

THIS VIDEO GAME IS A MAJOR CLASSIC IN MY BOOK AND IS ONE OF MY ALL TIME FAVORITES. THE GAMEPLAY GOES LIKE THIS: ON THE LOADING SCREEN, YOU PLAY A SHORT SAMPLE OF GALAGA. IF YOU BLOW ALL THE ENEMY SHIPS AWAY, YOU UNLOCK ALMOST ALL THE EXTRA CARS. BUT IF THEY BLOW UP YOUR SHIP AND YOU LOSE, YOU WILL ONLY HAVE 4 CARS. AND, JUST ABOUT EVERY CAR YOU PLAY WITH IS GONNA HAVE A PROBLEM. NEARLY ALL THE CARS HAVE VERY POOR HANDLING EXCEPT FOR 2 CARS. WHICH IS A GREEN AND WHITE CAR AND THE 13 RACING CAR WHICH YOU HAVE TO BEAT [WHICH TOOK ME A LONG TIME TO DO BECAUSE HE'S VERY FAST AND ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS HIT 1 THING, AND HE'LL PASS RIGHT BY YOU AND YOU'LL NEVER CATCH UP WITH HIM ONCE HE PASSES YOU AND HE GIVES YOU 2 HEADSTARTS] IN ORDER TO UNLOCK. BUT EVEN WITH THOSE FLAWS, THE GRAPHICS ARE STILL IRRESISTABLE, THE RACES ARE VERY FUN TO PLAY, AND THE MUSIC IS DEFINITELY GOOD. YOU CAN EVEN TAKE OUT THE DISC TO THIS GAME AND PLAY YOUR MUSIC CDS WHILE PLAYING THIS GAME! THIS IS A DEFINITE CLASSIC THAT ALL GAMEPLAYERS SHOULD PLAY. OF COURSE, THERE HAVE BEEN FOLLOW-UPS TO THIS GAME, BUT NONE ARE AS GOOD AS THIS CLASSIC ORIGINAL.
