The jaws open wide enough to fit over the bigger nuts 1.5-2.5" size often found on European fixtures, but the narrow jaw blade is thin enough to fit into tight spaces surrounding the nut. Well made tool.

The top on this thing pivots firmly, so it stays where it's supposed to stay. The spring-loaded jaws are just lightly spring loaded, so they're not constantly in your way. The extendable handle has ball detents like an adjustable height cane, or crutches, or something of that nature (spring-loaded ball end on one piece, holes drilled in the other piece) - so it stays positively where you set it. The jaws on this are cut well so they grab positively. The handle at the end is quite sturdy, as is the rest of the construction. Just holding this in your hand, you know that it's not some cheap piece. I'm going to buy the smaller version of this tool just so I have the smaller one when I need it; the smaller size is really the more universal model, but I had an odd case to deal with. I can wholeheartedly recommend this tool. Between the adjustable length and superior construction, this is definitely worth the extra few bucks over the cheaper one - especially when you consider that the stuff you're going to work on with this is stuff that you'll probably only get one chance to do "the easy way". :)

This wrench is great for places that are not easy to get into, such as the underside of the kitchen sink. This is a great tool!

I had to change three deck-mounted bathroom faucets in a townhome. The commonly available smaller basin wrench is too small and could not get a grip on the large nuts on the underside of the marbled vanity tops. This larger tool allowed me to easily loosen the three oversized nuts under each basin.

This larger-sized tool is not readily available in the local big box or hardware stores so I was pleased to have it delivered so quickly. Thank you Amazon.

I tried changing a faucet without this tool, and it took all damn day. I now have this for the next time I change out a faucet
