Necessary equipment if you have an older Ridgid Shop Dry Vac,

This review is from: Ridgid 73317 Filter Plate (Misc.)
You'll need to pick one of these up if you have an older Ridgid Wet/Dry vac. I had the 8 gallon Ridgid WD 0800 Wet/Dry vac and the filter it came with had an integrated filter plate. I tried to cut the old one out and use it with the new filter but that was a fool's errand. The new one makes the vacuum actually work as intended. Thanks Filter Plate!

This plate is required for adding standard new filters to older wet/dry vacs.
It fit perfectly and installation was no problem.

Some people seemed to have had difficulty with these small parts for their Ridgid vacuum cleaners. I did an extensive research to make certain that I get the right parts for my VC. I bought this plate, lock nut, filter, filter cage & float as per the MFG's IPC. Everything fit as they should and the VC is back in service.
