The Ridgid mobile miter saw stand is great. It's strong heavy duty easy to use.
BUT the price at Amazon can be beat, Home Depot is selling at $180.00 minus. Big Savings, sorry Amazon.

I have to say when I first got this stand, about a year ago at Home Depot on a Christmas special I was very excited. I had been thru a couple of table type stands and one rail style, about a stand a year, and was due for a new one. This seemed the perfect fit for me and I was excited.
The Pros: Huge wheels make stairs easier Hybrid table/rail design allows for workspace and quick detatchment of the saw Sturdy when set up Quick transition from rolling to work station So with that I thought great stand and off to work I went. First day out I began to think maybe I had made a mistake. Loading the stand into the truck was work. @ close to 100#'s it was heavy. and impossible it the saw was still mounted (a 12 inch Bosh sliding compound). But I thought maybe the weight would equal durability and so I looked past the weight issue. Well...not so much. Within a month the support leg for one of the outfeeds was jammed when we went to pull it out. We got it halfway and then it was really stuck. Nothing budged her. I resorted to partial disasembly and then realizing it was futile cut the support leg off. A month after that the outfeed on the other side would not telescope, turns out the support leg had gotten jambed and was blocking the exstension. Cons: TOO heavy Poor craftmanship means it won't stand up to daily use or travel. Update: Now the frame under the table that guides the raising and lowering is messed up. The fastner that acts as a guide had a pop rivit on the end to hold it in place and apparently it popped off. Not knowing this and with the saw and stand in the lowered position I went to raise it up, in the process the broken side jammed and the other side raised twisting the frame. I know your thinking why did I pull so hard when raising it. Well the saw and stand weigh 150# together so raising it is not lite affair. So after a year yet onother stand is dead. Trying the Bosh next. Had good luck with there tablesaw gravity rise stand so maybe the miter stand will hold up too?...wish me luck

I bought this stand about one week ago at Home Depot for less than what Amazon is selling it for, and I can't be more pleased with it. I was tired of lugging my 12" Dewalt compound miter saw around and having to set up saw horses and a piece of ply wood every time I wanted to use it. My saw fit nicely on the adjustable rails. The stand is easy to move from place to place and is quite durable. The vacuum air cylinder mechanism makes raising and lowering the deck a breeze. Storage is great. In the vertical position the stand and saw are extremely stable so you won't have to worry about it falling over when not in use, and the foot print of it is quite small as well. I liked it so much I went back and bought a second stand for my wet-saw also. The Rigid stand is far better than any of the others out there. If you are looking for a sturdy, easy to use stand for any saw you won't be disappointed with this one.

Portable miter saw stand,
This review is from: Ridgid AC9944 Mobile Miter Saw Stand (Tools & Home Improvement)
I just purchased this stand for my Dewalt 12" miter saw, the 2nd time I used it the extension arm lock. I found these to be extremely weak, and broke off while adjusting. I spoke with another owner of the same stand as mine, and his broke off as well.
This is a pour design, I welded up two new extension arm locks which work much better then the stock ones. Everything else seems to work great so far.

This is a very heavy stand. So far it's been working very well with my Ridgid 12" compound dual bevel saw (which is also very heavy). I looked around at just about every other miter stand and have yet to find one with the durability and mobility that this stand provides. It folds up with little effort and has nice large diameter wheels for easy moving.

Picked one up for under $190 - couldn't be happier. Took about 30min to get setup. I was able to mount my Milwaukee 12" slider direct to the Ridgit mounts, but I did't like the bolts sticking up, so opted to mount to a piece of plywood between the stand and saw instead. This also gave me a nice flat area on the side of the saw to lay various tools down that weren't in the way. Very sturdy unit, but they should have designed with a solid bar for the wheels to tie the two posts together. Might just DYI it when I get some free time... but not really an issue in the meantime.

I bought this AC9944 Stand about a month ago for my Ridgid 10" sliding miter saw and it has worked beautifly.
It's built very rugged and the wheel size makes it easy to roll around. It's a little on the heavy side...but works for extra stability.

This is the best stand I have seen. It is robust and well designed. The supports work well and are easily adjusted (although the knobs can be a pain to loosen) the stand lowers the saw into a vertical position easily and, with the semi pneumatic tires, it is easy to move around. Very well designed. I am on my second Hitachi sliding saw (been please with both of those too) and the stand is still going strong.

I was a little nervous about spending big bucks at HD for this stand but decided to give it a shot. I am very happy I bought this! I have a small shop and this opened up some space for me. Very well built and I am very pleased with it I would highly recomend this tool!!!!!
Update to this review.... I built a deck this last weekend and this stand was awesome! Set it up on unlevel ground and popped out the rollers and started cutting. This stand was a life saver!!!

Best Portable Miter Saw Stand For The Money,

This review is from: Ridgid AC9944 Mobile Miter Saw Stand (Tools & Home Improvement)
I have a 12" Ridgid Miter Saw that I like to use outside to minimize my exposure to sawdust. When mated to this Ridgid Mobile Stand, it's all that I could ask for. The solid rubber wheels are large enough to get my saw anywhere. Set up and breakdown is a simple two step process aided by a hidden spring. I especially like the side support bars; one of them has a pull-out, drop down leg for added support of long items. When broken down, the whole unit (with my miter saw) rolls into the corner of my garage in the upright fashion. There are convenient hand-hold bars for maneuvering the unit around. This mobile stand is far cheaper than the other mobile stand I considered buying (Bosch T4B Gravity-Rise Miter Saw Stand) and has bigger wheels. As mentioned by other reviewers, this unit is heavy, but very sturdy. In other words, this unit is solidly built, as are most items made by Ridgid. Assembly was straight forward and took about 30 plus minutes. I had to loosen the set-screws in the back of the mounting brackets to allow the brackets to slide easier when the lock handles where in the up position. There are two sets of bolts for mounting your miter saw to the brackets (one short and one long) to accommodate any size saw.
