Utilizing scare tactics, creepy music, and sinister looking actors, the film insists that marijuana "addiction" will lead to heroin addiction. The Terrible Truth is the perfect example of 1950's drug resistance and paranoia, while at the same time revealing the inaccuracies that were pedaled by the government at the time.
