It's probably good for horses but that's not what I bought it for. It is very flexible and the rubber grip is finely constructed. Just be careful who you hand it to because it does sting a little bit.

Excellent Choice,
This review is from: Riding Crop with Rubber Grip (Misc.)
This crop is very durable and well made. It is easy to use and packs a nice sting. I bought the 28" crop and while I love it, it is just a little too long to be carried inconspicuously. It holds up well to repeated usage and is a joy to wield. I would definitely purchase this product again if something were to happen to mine.

It's a great crop. I don't have a horse but I can tell you this crop stings. The handle is very comfortable to hold and the whole thing seems pretty strong. I guess it is going to last for years, used in moderation.

I bought this crop but not for a horse or for the bedroom. I bought it to use as a training tool for my dog. It has worked great. One lite pop on the butt and he obeyed right from the start. I don't even have to use it now... sometimes only pick it up.

Well made and sturdy. This product lives up and exceeds its description. Was surprised to see something that is seemingly so well made cost so little. Have used a little and seems to hold up well.

The product arrived in a timely manner, and just as described if not better. It is terrific for play, and gives just the right amount of sting that I was looking for. If this were to ever break I would definitely buy another one.

This crop comes with 2 stitched, leather tongues that are both longer and better quality over the cheaper crops. (Plus these are tongues, not a small "loop" of leather.) The $7 shipping from this seller comes with first-class shipping so that seems like a fair charge.
Note: this crop does NOT come with a secured handle loop. If you're worried about a secure grip, you could probably attach a braided one at the top of the handle. I like the slotted handle though - and in my mind makes up for not having this particular loop. A fine tool overall.

I'm pretty happy with this crop. It's a great price and is nicely constructed. The longer leather flap sticks out 2.5 inches beyond the tip of the shaft. Makes it a bit stingy.
