hey, all you motocross and dual sport fans... tired of buying magasines about MX and seeing mounds of advertisement for clothing and sticker kits?? If you want real help with the actual techniques of motorcross riding get this book. I found the title on my dual sport webpage... and it does not hesitate to recommend this book written in 1972! It's cool to see pictures of what we now think of nostalgic motorbikes... but it's got the techniques and the methods to grab seconds off your lap times!
I devoured this book because it had all the details that make my life on the trail splendid; from brake sliding techniques to how to race ready your bike!! By the way, it is not just the author's words... he gets other motorcross experts to add info. The cool thing is that there is a little bit of overlap of info from one expert to the other... but each tells it his way so you get to form your own picture too!
Someone should redo this book in multimedia... or a movie... kinda like 'On Any Sunday' but with closeups of techniques.
My racing buddies read it and said that this book shaves off weekends of shedding bad habits... if they had read it earlier they would have saved tanks of gas and nasty bruisings.
