5.0 out of 5 stars A Vital Part of American History, January 15, 2010
This review is from: Riding on the Ether Express: A Memoir of 1960s Los Angeles, the Rise of Freeform Underground Radio, and the Legendary KPPC-FM (Paperback)
This is an amazing book that depicts a very important defining era in American History. As a "Boomer" I lived the experience that was a result of this mans quest and destiny to bring his message and Rock & Roll to the masses without the encumbrances of traditional radio.
His roots and trek from the bayous and marshes of South Louisiana are described in easy to read form that paint a vivid picture of his experiences.
I highly recommend this book especially for anyone who lived the 50's and 60's in the USA and the descendants of those "Baby Boomers."
Readers should have a better understanding and appreciation where the modern philosophy of change in America originated and how it was spread through the airwaves to every city and remote location of our great country.
