This is as wonderful and stimulating a book as you will find. Noble mixes excellent and inclusive scholarship with professional and personal anecdote in a highly readable style. She deconstructs complex concepts into tasty and digestible prose, all along with dollops of humanity and honesty. I only disagree with her view that Grace can always be earned...but then again she could well be correct. In any case, "Riding the Windhorse" is a wise book written by a humane human. One can't ask for more.
