5.0 out of 5 stars Outstanding Book On An Often Overlooked Subject
The author does a outstanding job of presenting a truly holistic view of the subject of sport psychology as applied to rifle and pistol shooting. 2.0 out of 5 stars Rifle Pistol Shooting - Winning with the mental edge
For the novice who is just getting started in competition shooting, this book will provide the basic knowledge. It's written in the simplest form and crudely attempts to outline what is actually a very complex subject. For an individual who is above the novice level of competition I would not recommend this book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Outstanding Book On An Often Overlooked Subject, April 3, 2005
This review is from: Rifle & Pistol Shooting: Winning With the Mental Edge (Paperback)
The author does a outstanding job of presenting a truly holistic view of the subject of sport psychology as applied to rifle and pistol shooting. Unlike most books on sport psychology, or mental training, which focus on the standard/routine topics - this book includes (in addition to those subjects) areas such as how equipment affects the shooter or ideas on resolving shooting slumps. It becomes quite evident in reading this book that the author has lived the ups-and-downs of shooting and has taken that knowledge and put it in a book. Kudos to the author for taking the time to document such topics and enlightening us all.

As an Expert rifle and pistol shooter I was able to gain some excellent information from this book which I could not find elsewhere. After reading this book I set a goal, and developed a plan, to be Master shooter.
