this book is by the military, so you can assume that it's about ten years behind the date on the cover. that means that all the info was developed in the mid 50's. it's a good place to start if you don't intend to splice or maintain kernmantle or use any modern equipment like a griphoist or tirfor. i got my copy for about four dollars out in the real world.

A Published Date of this Book would have been nice to know about , and in my opinion would have been nice to see on the Book Advertisement on Amazons Website . Not that in this case would have made any difference as to whether I would have purchased this Book , or not , but for the other Book that I ordered from this Company it does.
