This is a handy, and well priced HDMI elbow. It has a solid build, and didn't alter my video picture. Advice: Make sure you look at the direction of the bend in the elbow, and determine if this bends the right direction for you. They make ones that bend both left and right.
Caveat: The elbow will stick out from the device it's attached to a bit (All adapters will, not just this one). So make sure this isn't an issue before buying it. If it is, your only possible solution will be to buy an HDMI cable they has a built in elbow to it.

It seems 75-90% of the right angle HDMI adapters are 'keyed' the wrong way. Facing down, not up, right or left. Most HDMI ports have the narrow side of the connector itself facing down, with the wider side facing up. These adapters are designed wrong forcing you to insert the adapter so it faces down against the shelf the equipment is sitting on making it impossible to connect a cable unless you push the equipment back so the rear panel hangs over the edge.

Look closely at the photo and you should see what I mean. Then look closely at your equipment and confirm the the female jack is facing narrow side down. if it is (and probably is) this will work.

On the down side, it does stick out further than I would of liked with what appears to be needless 'bulk' to the molded enclosure.

I use it to connect my laptop to a TV at 1080P resolution and it works well. You need be sure you want a 90 degree to the front of your laptop (it's called 270 degrees) or 90 degree to the back of your laptop.

I purchased this HDMI adapter because I didn't want a cable sticking out the side of my TV. I was impressed with the quality and construction of the item. I know there have been reviews on other adapters that claim the quality was not that good. I can assure you that this thing will not fall apart and is very sturdy. ***Make sure you check your TV for connecting this item*** I looked at the way my HDMI port came out of my TV. I wanted to make sure it would be facing down instead of going up. The issue I had was with my TV. The adapter fit great, but the HDMI cable would end up getting bent since my TV has a little ledge under the HDMI inputs. So needless to say I have to order an adapter that has a swivel or something that will angle back instead of down. Just wanted anyone that buys this product to avoid the issue I had. Great product once again.

Fit the need perfectly, appears well made. in use over a month and no issues, holds the cable tight and stays in place. A nice part solved a small problem perfectly.

This little inexpensive adapter works great for running my hdmi cables
along the back of the tv set/wall and not ding them.
I previously had problems without these little gems.
No concerns or headaches about my wiring!

I am using this now. It really neatens up the front of my TV. Instead of the hdmi cable coming straight out the front of the TV and curving around to the back, it now just makes a right turn and the hdmi cable is neatly dressed around to the back, while hugging the front of the TV. The price is amazing.

Worked well for almost a month but now the signal cuts in and out regularly. I removed the adapter and just went back to bending the HDMI cable and I haven't had any problems. Too bad, I liked the look behind my mounted HDTV, but the connection is junk.

Prior to buying my new TV a month or so ago, I never new that right angle HDMI adapters existed. When I bought my TV, I was dismayed to find that the side-facing HDMI input was so close to the edge, I could see the HDMI cable sticking out from the side of the TV and hanging down. It worked, but it disrupted the nice sleek lines of the TV. On a whim, I searched for HDMI right angle, thinking I might find a cable that would have a right angle connector. I found this, and was thrilled. This way, I didn't have to buy a whole new cable -- just a connection adapter that can "live" with the TV. I was especially impressed that, in the item description, it described which way the angle was aligned in relation to the port. I wouldn't necessarily have thought to check that, to make sure it would run the cable down, and not up. The perfect solution for my product need. Thanks!

This product is okay for the price. I'm not using any "high quality" HDMI cables with it, rather the $15 generic black one I got from the local cable company (beings I don't buy into the BS hype of "high quality" HDMI cables. Digital is 1s and 0s, and nothing more, so Monster cables will work no better than most cheaper models. But this review isn't about the cables I'm using, I'm simply prefacing the review so you know what I'm working with).

The part of the adapter that you plug the wire into fits nice and snug. I could actually feel it "click" into place. The part of the adapter that plugs into the TV, however, is a different story. It feels loose, and I couldn't feel it "click" like you do with most cables. This doesn't seem to affect the quality of the picture (yet), but I'm concerned about it's longevity, not to mention it's possible toll on the HDMI port on my TV (since it's plugs are sideways mounted). If anything changes, I'll update my review.

I wasn't sure whether to give this 3 or 4 stars due to this, so I used the appearance to balance out the overall score. The appearance doesn't really matter, since the whole idea for this product is to allow your wire to run in tight spaces, so you shouldn't be able to see it anyways.
