This review is from: Right Brain/Left Brain Reflexology (Paperback)
I am a teacher and author for massage therapists, and a private practice now focusing on healing the brain. So I was looking for a book on assisting the brain to heal, using reflexology points on the foot. This was not that book--in fact I have not found such a book.
This book does have a great self-test to find if you are visual (left brained) or auditory (right brained) though there are many websites that offer these tests instantly. The reflexology therapy described is on the ear, not the foot points that I wanted to work with. I have talked with some experts since reading this. It was recommended to me that, instead of trying to use foot reflexology to address specific parts of the brain, to use the points to address processes and issues. It is a simple matter to use the foot points to activate the seven chakras, each with its own prevailing emotions/functions/issues. By addressing processes this way, the healing gets to the brain area that also governs these emotions/abilities/issues. If I had known this before, I would not have bought this book, but hey, if I had not bought the book I wouldn't have been as invested in finding out what I wanted to know, so no regrets :) If you want to heal the brain, I highly recommend Cell Talk by John UpledgerCell Talk: Talking to Your Cell(f) and If I Only Had A Brain Injury, by Laura BrunoIf I Only Had a Brain Injury.
