This review is from: The Right Line of Cerdic (Paperback)
This is a fine historical novel on the life and times of Alfred the Great, the only king of England to be called "the Great." It is well researched and true to our historical understanding of Saxon England and Alfred's epic battles against the invading Vikings. Although the prose can be a bit pedestrian at times, it is well worth reading and deserves to be back in print.
