Right Now by Van Halen can mean fifty different things to fifty different people. To some, it's an awesome rock tune with some killer guitar work, while others its' a call to do something about the chaotic state of our world that has only increased since this song was released in the eighties. This reviewer is of the second class because I study topics like human trafficking, genocide, and terrorism in my political science courses and every time I need an uplift from the depression that tends to set in sometimes in dealing with these subjects I reach for this song. There's a spirit about it, that is distinctly hopeful that the problems of the world are not insurmountable. It also serves as a rallying call to action because if we as people don't do anything, who will?
