3.0 out of 5 stars A bit too basic for me, September 5, 2009

This review is from: Right Off (MP3 Download)
This one is stripped down to the bare minimum making use of a small band, guitar, bass, drums, trumpet, sax and occasional keyboards. However most of the time it is a stripped down quartet. I love Miles and I realize he was experimenting with the funk rhythms of groups like James Brown and Sly Stone, but this one is a bit too stripped down and repetitious for my tastes.
