Just when Reva Waring thought she had her life in order, Jeff Corbett had walked back into her life. He saved her life in South America but she only knew him for three days and was afraid of getting involved with a mercenary. Even though she moved, he showed up while she was having an intimate dinner with the civilized man she was thinking about marrying. And the scene he threw did nothing to convince her that she was wrong.
As the story develops Jeff uses one underhanded strategy after another to convince Reva to marry him or at least let him stay around a little longer. And Reva has secrets of her own. An enjoyable read and the characters, eccentric as they are, seem more human and vulnerable than some other early Jayne Castle characters.

Enjoyed the book. Have enjoyed all of Jayne Castle's books but it is fun to read her really early work. One thing about it, you don't have to think to much when reading her early books!! If you want to get away and not think this book will do it for you.
