LAST POETS ROOFTOP CONCERT WAS BEFORE THE BEATLES!,

Everyone, including the ever Saint -like BONO of U2 Fame, always gave credit to the Beatles for inventing roof top concert(s) when they performed in January 1969 a-top of their Apple building at the end of their swan song film and album Let it Be. Well, let's get it right! In the Summer of 1968 is where it all took place...on an unknown roof top in the Bronx was where The Last Poets, forefathers of rap, gave the first ever roof top performance. This film not only documents but captures the passion and energy of so many powerfull songs by the legendary group. There is no weak performances here, unlike the Beatles gutsy but tired attempt to "get back." So we should re-evaluate who all these rock stars give credit to....It wasn't the Fab Four but the three poets from New York that make it count in the end.....with social content in rhyme!
