This book has a lot of diagrams and pictures, and not so many words.
It recommends dimensions for changing a home in order to make the home
accessible to a handicapped person, such as someone paraplegic
or quadraplegic or otherwise wheelchair confined.

The staff and volunteers at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital had
not heard of this book, and seemed to think highly of it when we
showed it to them.

It is a great source for someone whose family member has become
paralyzed and who wants to change a home so that the patient can
come home.

"The Right Space" is exactly the resource and reference guide that I have been searching for to guide me with my new business "Accessible Home Conversions". I started this business after being laid of from the local community hospitl where I held the position of Asst. Director of Facilities so I already have a good working knowledge of the needs of physically challenged people but more in an institutional setting. This reference book will be exactly the resource I need to compliment this knowledge as I apply it to the residential setting. There is a huge need for this type of business as 78 million baby boomers reach the age where they will need these services. Thank you for compiling this information into a unique, consise, reference book.
