This book is a RAPID-FIRE series of substantiated indictments of the former First Lady. It seemed like every word was annotated or referenced. There are around 12 "exhibits" (over 150 pages of documents, forms and letters that verify claims in the book ... gov't forms and legal docs are quite long) and another 8 pages of notes in the back to drive home the message. It's easy to read and stay engaged with this book. One has no doubt as to where the author and book stand on the issue of Mrs. Clinton. The tone of each (short) section consistently frowns on the documented, proven, indisputable, yet ostensibly still "questionable" actions of Mrs. Clinton. You end up shaking your head and wondering how someone could get away with so much. That said, the title is correct in saying that this is a (VWRC-style) dossier. The actions in question are documented and/or explained, then part of the time the author goes an extra step to lambaste the former First Lady or sneer in Mrs. Clinton's general direction. I never said this was Adam Smith...

I don't like mean-spirited content, and this book tested me very little. I find Carpenter's book to be as witty as Coulter columns, but a little less snippy. I didn't find that the "non-fact" opinions that occasionally followed a topic detracted from my experience. In some cases, I beat her to the punchline in my mind, and thus felt quite involved in the book. It probably deserves 4-1/2 stars for keeping the reader's attention, but I can't inflate this book at all due to the seriousness of the issues at hand. Normally, reader-engagement is integral to the quality of a book, but in this review, the focus is roundly on the ideas expressed within, not whether Ms. Carpenter is yet on par with Hemingway.

I have found most politicians to sometimes be disingenuous and/or guarded, but anyone who replies to questions in court or before congress with, "I don't know" over 250 times is exceptionally shady. If you read nothing else into this, let it be, "Mrs. Clinton is exceptionally shady." Once you know *how shady*, it'll be up to you to decide if she's fit to hold office in the greatest nation the world has ever known. There is no doubt that Mrs. Clinton was involved in a campaign finance violation for which her fund-raising committee was fined $35K ... BUT ... the committee in question has already spent the money, and now only has a couple thousand dollars. It looks like they'll default on the judgment ... slick, huh? You'll be surprised at just how slick the Clinton's are according to this book. Everything under the sun is fair game to them, and thus to this author, including:

* Hard and Soft money discrepancies in campaign funding
* Co-mingling of funds between spouses, one of whom has taken money ($16+ million) from foreign powers
* Power-brokering to the elite, foreign and domestic
* Pork barrel politics, including "earmarking" $120 million for "first responders" in NY from the money set aside for Hurricane Katrina victims (now who "doesn't care about black people", Mr. Kanye West?)
* Abominable national security ideas, including conflicting ones on identification cards and issuance of VISAs.
* Illegal immigration will be a thing of the past, b/c there will be no such thing as "illegal" immigration.
* National health care will be a boon to the poor, and a burden on the rest of us. Hillary hasn't given up on nationalizing our healthcare system. She only opposed Bush's prescription plan because it wasn't "comprehensive" enough.
* [excellent exchange between HC and Senator Rick Santorum (R-PA)] She believes that "less than perfect" fetuses should be treated differently under the law than "perfect, healthy" fetuses. Anyone seen the movie "Gattica"?
* She voted against our current Chief Justice Brown citing no reason other than politics. Can you believe turning away a stellar nominee b/c he wasn't your idea...petty behavior, and beneath the standards of the American people, I say.
* She is afraid to speak to the press, and rarely grants "hallway interviews" like so many other Senators, and indeed public figures at large, who know communicating with the press and the public is part of their job.

I could go on for ages. This woman is disgraced as a First Lady, a failure as a lawyer, a failure as a healthcare reformer, and a hired gun for NY corporations (like Corning, Inc.) and NY municipalities. Her personal fortune is of more than questionable origin, and she undoubtedly will run for President starting after the mid-terms in November of this year. America is smart enough to read the facts here and elsewhere, and make it's own decision. If nothing else, just follow the money trail in this book. Ask yourself if it's good, right, just and fair that she succeed in another "slick" maneuver. Do you want children who grow up to be "just like her"? Don't just get your news from NPR and the NY Times, read Carpenter's sources. Read the Wall Street Journal. Watch Mrs. Clinton on TV, and ask yourself if she looks like she's being forthright. This is a good place to start looking at details. This is not the "end-all" indictment of Mrs. Clinton, but it lists a lot of heavy hitters. Read it, and I trust you will be stunned at how deep the rabbit hole goes, as I was.

This book is only the beginning. On Tuesday, November 7th, Hillary Clinton will glide across the Senate finish line with $49 million in the bank. The following day, Hillary Clinton will no doubt begin her campaign for the Presidency. Ms. Carpenter details everything about Senator Clinton's record in her sweeping dossier...and we should be afraid. Hillary has maximized the machinery of Congress as a Senator and is now going to retake the White House, bringing back Bill and the entire Clinton crony machine of favors to buddies like Corning and Goldman Sachs and, as the author details, using tens of millions of dollars in foreign money.

If you like politics and are interested in the facts-- not just the media hype about Hillary-- you'll find this book a useful and important addition to your bookshelf.

There's plenty of Hillary books out there and most of them are just anti-Clinton fluff. This book is different.

Carpenter's 'Dossier on Hillary Clinton' is well documented, informative and shocking.

If you're looking for a book on Hillary Clinton that will educate you about the Senator and provide you with the ammunition we need to use to defeat her in '08, read this book.

Amanda B. Carpenter's book is the most concise and articulate source of information for the case against Hillary. The clear writing, unique formatting, and wealth of information makes this book a bargain.

When they call it a dossier, they're not joking. The writing is backed up by in-depth research and a host of exhibits of primary texts are exhibitted in the back. The KGB couldn't have done better. The information here is all the ammo you need to confront left-wing scum in the next election. Amanda Carpenter is to the 2008 election what Samuel Colt was to the American West.

Liberals seem to briefly skim this book and dismiss it as "old news" and as a "smear piece," but they are doing themselves and society a disservice by ignoring some of the frightening factoids presented in the "Dossier on Hillary Clinton." These arguments cannot merely be set aside for the purpose of partisan politics. Both Republicans and Democrats alike should read this book and truly understand the implications of what is presented. Every arguments is fully documented in the appendices, giving the book more credibility than most liberals would know what to do with in the first place. To those who claim the purpose of this book is to make Hillary Clinton look bad, you should heed your own words. This book does make Hillary look bad...using her own words and actions as main evidence. Crooked people like Hillary should be exposed, and that's just what Ms. Carpenter is out to do. She is determined to let the people know of the trickery Hillary has been up to and will soon be up to before 2008. Each argument inside this book is presented objectively and is fully backed by documents at the end of the book; biased commentary is a rarity here. I dare you to read this book and find ONE unfounded argument. Of course if you are partisan liberal walking blindly in the political spectrum, I fully expect you to do the immature thing and label this as a pointless book that serves no purpose but to tarnish the image of Hillary Clinton.

It's already been tarnished; there are just too many people who don't know yet. Hillary dug her own grave, Ms. Carpenter is merely backfilling the dirt. This book is a must read if you want to save this country from a disaster in 2008!

This book provides a handy summary of all the details about Hillary Clinton that will almost certainly be revived and used against her at some point in her quite likely run for the Presidency. They range from nice digests of real scandals to snarky insults (in describing her weight it also notes that she is "bottom heavy").

Amanda Carpenter also includes material that could be gathered of any elected official. They all go after "pork" and are expected to bring it back to their home state. One might argue that this doesn't belong here because it is something that every elected Representative or Senator is "guilty" of. However, this is a dossier and wants to provide the facts about this particular Senator. Not everything here is supposed to be a scandal, but to provide the full range of information that those working against her need to know. After all, the book proudly and humorously admits it is part of the Vast Right Wing Conspiracy (VRWC).

Carpenter also tracks Hillary's political statements and how she has maneuvered in order become more acceptable to the relevant political base of the moment. Again, the point here is what she has done rather than saying she is the only one who has ever done it.

One of the facts I found most interesting, and it isn't a scandal, is how much Bill has earned from speaking fees. Half of the book is her disclosure forms and they do make interesting reading. Bill has made millions and millions of dollars from these speeches. I remember when the Democrats went crazy when Reagan made a few speeches for money after his presidency ended. Bill has turned it into an industrial process and churns these out like sausages!

Interesting stuff.

Carpenter's book is sure to be THE book to save Americans from another Clinton Presidency. It is filled with documents and evidence, and not just rhetoric.

Carpenter is a rising star in the conservative movement, and is set to give liberals headaches for years to come.

The dossier is more frightening than I expected, and from what I knew before reading it, that's saying something. How is it possible that this woman could become the next President? Are people really so easily manipulated by media and marketing consultants that they'd buy into her agenda? Do we deserve her? Maybe so. Ignorance is rampant. And in this, as in most cases, ignorance is NOT bliss.

Using the vast Right wing conspiracy phrase, in the title, is just very funny, lets face it, we all know when Hillary used that phrase, she was lying for her philandering husband. Anyway the Hillary Dossier is fantastic, it contains, amazing quotes from the horses mouth, A History of Hillary's Scandals and her scandalous behavior, extremely funny sidebars, and many events from Hillary's past that define the women. Carpenter reminds of us of, Hillary's constantly shifting position on the Iraq war; How hill used September 11 as an opportunity to win large federal grants for her fat cat corporate donors; How she has consistently supported amnesty and citizenship for illegal immigrants; how she tool illegal campaign contributions from foreign sources; How she is a pork barrel liberal spender; How she intimated the media; and proof she is a dedicated leftists. This is a must get book, If Hillary won the Presidency, just think back to when she was co-president remember the stock market crash of 2000, think about how the Clinton wall of separation weakened the CIA and all intelligence agency's (It took the Patriot act to fix this problem). Think how team Clinton did not get the job done and left us valuable to terrorists attacks (3 chances to have bin ladin arrested in the Sudan 1994-1998; and 10 chances to take him out in Afghanistan from 1998-2000); Think How team Clinton inherited a great economy from Reagan/Bush and left us with an economy that was stagnant , and soon to enter a recession in 2001 (It took Bush's tax cuts to repair all the damage team Clinton had done). When team Clinton runs for president again, the facts in this book, can convince everyone and anyone who thinks to not vote for them ever again.
