I just ordered this CD this morning, so I'm not reviewing the CD so much as I am the album itself. This was the third and last Stealers Wheel album, and in my opinion, the best of the three.
By this time the hit singles had dried up and the group was on the verge of splitting, but they somehow gathered enough good will and energy to produce a wonderful album. If you are Catholic, and easily offended, don't listen to Benediction. It's not flattering in the least. But the next song, "Found my way to you" is as upbeat and positive a love song as you could ask for.
All in all, this is a great album and I am so glad it's finally on CD. My vinyl album is still in good shape, but my record player died long ago. Buy the other two albums, "Stealers Wheel", and "Ferguslie Park", and revel in the pure joy that was Stealers Wheel!!

5.0 out of 5 stars best cd from stealers wheel!!, May 22, 2005
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Right Or Wrong (Audio CD)
'right or wrong' was the final swan song from the dynamic duo team rafferty and egan. out of the 3 cd's this one by far is more intune to each other song well written well produced and exceptionally great songs. the high light song on this cd is the lovely 'home from home'..this could easily have been a smash ballad song on the lines of any BEATLES or BYRDS style classic. Stealers wheel was a jem of a band. a very talented bunch of musicians that stayed true to the folk/rock elements of their youth.

OK, I've always loved Stealers Wheel, but I never bought this album, for whatever reason. It kind of flew under the radar. They fell out with Leiber and Stoller after the 2nd LP, so Mentor Williams (Doby Gray) produced this one. After looking for quite some time, I finally found this at a used record store (the LP, not the CD) for $7.00 in excellent condition. It is a masterpiece...I think their best. The production is sterling, and the songs and performances are super. They may have been breaking up, but it's interesting that they wrote most of the songs together. Their Abbey Road, their swansong, just excellent!

4.0 out of 5 stars Steeler's Wheel; Right or Wrong, March 21, 2008
This review is from: Right or Wrong (Audio CD)
I owned the album, when released, in the 1970's and have waited a long time to own it and the other Steeler's Wheel releases on CD. Joe Egan and Gerry Rafferty are extremely good song writers and performers both together and individually. Owning their works, as Steeler's Wheel, is one of the high points in my music collection.

1970's classic rock- great melodies and harmonies. Opening song "Benediction" is one of my all time favorites.
