Wild west story from a boy's point of view,
By A Customer
This review is from: The Righteous Revenge of Artemis Bonner (Paperback)
Following Artemis from New York to the Wild West to avenge his uncle's death and claim his buried treasure is a fun way to expose 11-year-olds to the Wild West and the risks involved in revenge. Myers' humorous slant on the young boy's quest makes the book an easy read and fun to read aloud and play with the accents and name calling found in some of the conflicts. I am recommending that my school adopt this book as part of its read-aloud program which focuses on conflict resolution though literature.

This review is from: The Righteous Revenge of Artemis Bonner (Library Binding)
The Righteous Revenge Of Artemis Bonner was a adnenturous comedy with a lot of susspense. The story is focused on a boy named Artemis Bonner who in search for his deceased uncle's treasure, but only one thing stands in his way, and that is a man named Catfish Grimes who is also looking for the treasure. The race is on.This book is best suited for ages 12 and up.

An absolute kid-pleaser! Young Artemis Bonner's search for his dealy departed Uncle Ugly's treasure (and killer) is a wild romp through the old west.I have read this book to my classes in school for the past seven years, and it has been a favorite every time. Kids always want to hear more, so see what will happen next, and at the end ask if the author has written any more books.

I had never read any Walter Dean Myers, but this book was a quick, truly entertaining read. I read it in about three hours and thought that the characters were not only truly believeable, but I found a bit of myself in Artemis. His name is justly given. I truly enjoyed it.

The Righteous Revenge Of Artemis Bonner,
A Kid's Review
This review is from: The Righteous Revenge of Artemis Bonner (Paperback)
Personally, I think that this book is a bit scary for people who get scared very easily and are under 12. Anyway, I found this book quite interesting, the way it is written. This book takes place in 1880 in a old town around the Alaskan Territory. The things they mention may be frightning - like the was Lucy Feather dip ripping off Artemis's ear with her mouth, while she is hanging upside down. The story they includes some eveidence if how it was baak then in the 1800's, like having very cheap things like accomodation. The way they spoke is also different like: "Where are you headed?" Instead of " Where are you heading?".You should read this book if you are interested in all the things I have mentioned. Thank you! Celia:)

this book was very fun to read. it had a lot of action. I liked this book beocuase the main charter really fought for what he belived in. Also this book was filled with suspence. we never expected how the book would end! the only thing that I did not like about this book is that there is not a sequel. for that I am up set. iI hope that in the future another book comes out!
