Product Description

The PackRight Car Clip Strap Set allows you to use car top carriers on vehicles without luggage racks. The Car Clip Straps attach to any available ledge on the door frame of your vehicle. A ledge can be found along the top of the door frame, over or under the rubber weather molding, or under the rain gutters on the top of the door. Any ledge that will fit into the 5/8” W opening of the “J-hook” will work. Once the straps are tightened over the carrier, the hooks pull into place and the vehicle door closes over the hooks/straps. The Car Clip Strap Set comes standard with the Sport Jr. Car Top Carrier, but can be used to safely attach any of the PackRight Car Top Carriers to your vehicle. Each set is comprised of (2) straps, 1" W and over 10' L with an 800 lb breaking capacity. The straps are made of strong nylon webbing that has been treated with a waterproof coating.

We bought the extra straps with hooks for the doors for the Pack Wright car top carrier we bought. They worked great and did not scratch or bend my car trim. Was pleased with the product.

These straps did not work with my 2011 Honda accord. I had to get ratchet straps to hold the travel bag down instead.

On most vehicles, the Honda Accord included, the Car Clip Strap Set will attach under the weather molding around the door frame. Please see the new 'other view' photos, video, and pdf set up guide that we have added above. The hooks of the Car Clip Straps can attach to a metal ledge as well, but for most vehicles, the hooks will attach under the molding.

Your car needs to have a metal lip for these clips to grab onto. My 05 Accord doesn't have those. Couldn't use it.
