It broke right at the spot where the flexable poles connect.

If you only camp a few times a year, your money may be better spent on another tent.

I received this tent in record time and just came in from setting it up for the first time, so here are the things I learned about this tent (and wish I'd known before ordering).

Before deciding on this tent, I researched several brands of "Pop-Up"s, and searched for video reviews that were actually 'reviews'. It is VERY difficult to find an actual video REVIEW. Most simply show the tents quickly popping up and being taken back down...that's about it. There is even a video of THIS particular tent showing the EZ up and almost-as-EZ put-away on that glorious TUBE site that we all know and love. So, yes, this tent sets up easily and after watching the video, I was able to put it away in its bag in less than three
minutes on my first try.

The materials seem to be of good quality. I think the inital fear of breaking the poles while folding them back into a circle will be there for most people on the first try. The poles seem fairly flexible and (hopefully) will hold up well.
I did notice a few loose threads on the carry bag and inside the tent, but that wasn't a big deal for me. Some careful snipping and all gone.

I also noticed that on one small section of the front 'screen' door zipper, the flexible seam tape overlapped the zipper teeth. I had to peel about two inches of it back from the teeth in order to zip the door closed. Again, small manufacturing thing that a tiny pair of scissors and some careful snipping can handle without problems.

The material of the floor is similar to those Poly "Tarps" and it seems fairly sturdy and waterproof, but I always use a footprint/tarp underneath any tent - just in case of sharp pebbles, sticks, thorns, etc. that I might not have noticed or removed when setting up.

Within 5 minutes the metal connectors broke. What a POS, cheep plastic and cheeper metal. I will not be recommending this product to anyone ever.

This tent is so easy to put up. I enjoyed the ease and flexibility with which it was to fold up and close when I was done camping as well. This tent, if you have a backpack and supplies, is truly just for one person. I camped when it was 52 Fahrenheit and it was very comfortable. Kept out the Mosquitos too! Yeah!

I took this out of the package and it was awesome for all of 30 seconds. It popped right open and then it just fell apart in my hands. It looked so easy, but it is not made to last. Time to look for a regular tent.

The product itself was well designed, fairly easy to operate, however the stresses put to the components are great, and the components are not made to last forever - I wouldn't expect it at this price.
I found the opening of the tent easy - it snaps out with just a minor shake... be ready and stand away :)
closing the tent is another matter - I had similar products like a snap open and fold close car sun shade. however the size difference is great and the effort involved are proportional and great.
The instructions are clear - however the last fold seems risky, using great effort to wind the oval into an 8. I am sure the structure was put to a lot of stress and with a slightly misaligned effort would have broken down.
Everything went well, and I am glad I got the product and was able to operate it.

I have read the reviews here about this and decided to gamble on it. Well I have used this tent 5 times for weekend camping trips. Never a single issue. Tons of room for me and my son and my german shapard. No holds and it even rained for 2 days 0 leaks. Fast put up and took me about 5 mins to tear it down. Once you learn how to break it down is fast. For what it is and the price its well worth it.

I am a runner and I enjoy trail running and camping and I was shopping around for a pop up tent that was easy to set up and break down and light to carry which brought me to your product. I purchased your pop up tent and was excited it had everything I was looking for. I practiced setting it up and breaking it down so when I got to the woods there would be no problems. I finally used the tent for the first time the other weekend. It was an easy weekend in that the tent was stationary for two nights after which I broke it down and returned home upon returning home I discovered the poles had broken in three places. I am very disappointed in your product as it only lasted through one camping trip, hence why I rated it one star.

Bought this tent one month ago and only got one use out of it, one of the poles snapped when I pulled it out of the bag for the second time. I was careful to set it up and put it away according to the instructions and now the company will not stand by their one year warranty. Avoid this tent and other Rightline Gear products at all costs! I am extremely disappointed to have wasted $100 on a brand new tent just to have this happen..
