I added these weights to my Wii "Walk It Out" game and it made a huge difference in the intensity of my workout. I was surprised how such a small addition made my heart rate increase dramatically. They're very well balanced in your hands. I can't wait for the 4-lb weights to come out.

OK, these weights are top notch. I have a few friends that have bought other Wii weight sets and they are basically junk; makes you not even want to use them. I put these on my controllers and the feel alone is amazing. They are super durable and look freaking sweet as well. The grip on these weights is actually better than holding just the remote. I have even played games with them before. Haha I would highly recommend these to anyone looking to add on to their workouts. Based on the level of quality of these alone $29.99 is a steal. Seriously, put them in the cart and checkout, I don't have enough good things to say about them.

I bought these to replace the resistance band in my EA Sports Active workouts. The band was cumbersome and made it hard to target the correct muscles while holding the controller and nunchuck. These work SO well, I get a much better and more focused workout! I didn't think 2 lbs would be enough, but I can definitely feel the difference... they are way better than the band, but I wish they came in a 3 lb version as well. I highly recommend this product, they are sturdy, feel good in your hands, easy to get the controller and nunchuck in and out, and at $30 with free shipping, definitely worth the price.

I had been using my Wii with my own set of dumbbells because I was looking to make the workout a little more strenuous. Although this worked, it was an inconvience because you had to swap out the dumbbells for the controller and vice-versa. Not horrible, but if there was something else out there, it was worth a try. I then started researching what was out there for the Wii. It would have been nice to go with an adjustable weight dumbbell set. At the time of the research, they only had the kind that were made from plastic and they didn't have the best reviews. At 2 lbs. each, these are enough to add a little something and I have found that I can move my arms a little more without worrying about knocking myself out. (Yes, a little clumbsy). These work great with all of the exercise and dance modules/games. They give you more of a workout. They are easy to fit the controller into and they feel like they are going to last a long time. Would recommend the Riiflex dumbbels for Wii.

I bought these weights for my husband, but I've been using them on free run mode on Wii Fit. I am really pleased with the quality, appearance and the overall feel of these weights. I would recommend them to other Wii joggers.

Excellent really happy with these dumbbells, I had been looking at a couple of other wii weights and they felt like they where made of cheap plastic, these are molded rubber, an excellent product. These dumbbells make a vast improvement to any wii workout.
If they come out with a higher weight in time I will buy them as well.

I just received this set of weights today. I paid just under $10 so I thought that price was reasonable for what they are. They feel great so far, easy to use with the Wii even for toning up just playing regular Wii games like Lego Harry Potter, Mario Kart (with the nunchuk and Wii controllers). I was just looking for something to add to tone up while on the Wii and this fit the bill. I'll be using them along with the Wii Fit Board and Wii games I have like My Fitness Coach, Walk It Out and others whenever possible. I feel the product is solid and the main Wii controller fits in the weight with the addition of the Wii motion plus piece. Over all I'm happy with the product.
My only con for this product is that I had to remove the protective silicon sleeves on my Wii controllers in order to insert them to fit properly into the weights. Oh and what the pictures by the company don't show you is the Wii remote controller cords connected. I'm not sure if those images were photo-shopped, they just didn't connect them or they used a cordless nunchuk but you will have a limited range like you normally do using the Wii motes that you can extend your arms if you do not have a wireless nunchuk. Overall, If you're looking for a way to use your Wii remotes with a little additional weight for toning up that isn't large and bulky these are the way to go. For just under $10 you can't go wrong.

Worth the money. They are designed very well. Not cheap plastic like other dumbbells for the Wii. I have enjoyed them. They are very easy to remove the remote and nunchuck in and out of them.

I bought these for my wife, but now I use them too. We use them with the games that came with the Wii Fit and EA Sports Active and they work great. 2 lbs didn't seem like much at first, but once you start into a cardio-type workout, it actually does feel like a workout! Now not using the weights just feels like going through the motions... I'd definitely recommend these. They're compact. They feel really good and comfortable in your hands, and feel like they're built really well - worth the price. And they look great on the coffee table!

Breathes new life into old Wii fitness games,

One of the biggest issues with Wii fitness games is that while you're flailing your arms around, but there's just no resistance. So you get a pretty good lower body workout (because your legs are carrying the weight of your body), but once the workout is through you really don't feel like you've gotten a very good upper body workout. As a result, games like this usually get played a few times and then go back on the shelf.
Riiflex weights are 2 pound weights that snap onto your Wii remote and nunchuk. While 2 pounds may not seem like a lot, it's the perfect amount of resistance, especially as you're playing reflex and rhythm games, which essentially are like doing reps. They're really well built. The weights themselves are solid 2-pound weights, and yet they're pleasant to hold because the entire surface is made of rubber which is very smooth in your hands. You literally slip your Wii remote and nunchuk into the weights so that the weights and the controllers become unified-they will snap in place into the perfectly-shaped molds and remain there securely. Once they're in place, you can use your Wii remote and nunchuk as normal. But instead of swinging and flailing your arms wildly, you get a good amount of resistance-and in the process you're building up and toning the muscles in your upper and lower arms. Obviously, this is compatible with any game that requires arm movements. Since I review a lot of Wii fitness games, I had a lot of them on the shelf collecting dust. But with these weights it was like I had a whole new set of games. It didn't do much for EA Sports Active (as most of the workouts require the nunchuk leg holder), but for games like My Fitness Coach 2 and Jillian Michaels, it turned subpar games into games worth playing. The game was really given new life was Gold's Gym Cardio Workout. It always struck me that while the game was fun, there wasn't really too much "cardio". That all changed when I slipped on the Riiflex weights. After just one round of the punching bag, my heart is racing and I feel great. So that's another game that will no longer be collecting dust on the shelf. The one gripe I would have is not so much a gripe about the Riiflex weights, but about the Wii controllers in general. With the nunchuk cord, it's easy to get tangled up, and of course with 2 pounds of weights in each hands the cord becomes more unwieldy, and you have to be careful to make sure you don't accidentally damage the cord. I wish Nintendo would create a wireless nunchuk that worked, or that I had a Riiflex for my other Wii remote. But this is just a minor thing. One last benefit of these weights is that it's a great way to even the playing field when you're playing against kids or Wii newbies. If you've already mastered games like Wii Sports boxing and baseball, using Riiflex weights will make them challenging again and give you a better workout in the process. |
