5.0 out of 5 stars Bodyjar-Rimshot!, March 9, 2000

Ok. This is the absolute best CD I have ever heard. Bodyjar's 1996 release blends emotional and inspiring lyrics, great basslines and guitar riffs, and relateable topics into 12 awesome energetic songs. Any emo fan must own this CD. Songs like "Glossy Books" and "Next to You" give you a warm feeling inside, and help make this CD an underground classic. If you like Saves the Day and early Get-Up Kids music, then you will love this CD. Nuff Said.

Bodyjar is the best band you've never heard. Unbelievable changes and creative songwriting paired with excellent musicianship and and a unique blend of Metal, Punk and 70's hard rock gives Rimshot a spot on my all-time top-ten list.

4.0 out of 5 stars inteligent angst, December 22, 1999
By A Customer

Okay, so this album will not change your life... it will however help you get through it. RIMSHOT is Bodyjar's best full length album...IT HAS ENERGY! From the sing-a-long chorses of "glossy books" - a song that nobely tackles the issue of anorexia- to the mosh-worthy chords of "adnam the one armed bricklayer" the album represents the unpretentious, aware and agonised youth. AND it is also FUN - sensitive yet not taking itself too seriously...just check out "buns of steel" the secret track!
