Outstanding performance of a great but under appreciated composition,

This review is from: Rimsky-Korsakov: Antar & Russian Easter Festival (Audio CD)
Antar is a grossly under-appreciated masterpiece, somewhat in the vein of Scheherazade. No, it's not quite as great as Scheherazade -- but then few compositions are. But Antar is close and should appeal to virtually everyone who loves Scheherazade. Svetlanov is an outstanding conductor of Russian music and does a superb job in this recording. If you love great Russian music, please treat yourself to this recording.
