Showed up lightning fast from Amazon. I've only hit it about a dozen times, but this looks to be a great target. I had read that arrows were difficult to extract, so the first two arrows were field points; one just plain and the other I rubbed with home made soap for about 4 inches just below the field point. The plain arrow was quite difficult to remove even with an arrow puller, but the soaped up arrow came right out easy-peasy. I used home made soap because it still contains the glycerin which commercial soap makers take out and sell as a secondary product, but I imagine Ivory soap would work well too.

So next I hit it with a variety of broadheads from 4 blade fixed to over-the-top mechanicals to modern 'cut on contact' mechanicals with a 1½" cut diameter. I soaped all of the shafts as described above and every single extraction was a piece of cake and does not even require the use of the arrow puller, so there is the secret to enjoyable broadhead use with this (and possibly other) broadhead targets.

It's a bit pricey, but I think this is truly a case of getting what you pay for. This thing should last for years even with broadheads especially with the replaceable bullseye.

If my opinion changes, I'll post an update. But for now I say Buy It!

I've shot the XL Target several times and can't be more pleased with it's ability to handle crossbow bolts at close distances. The 20 yard shots penetrated 6 to 10 inches and the target did not move, however, for me, removing the bolts did require a special arrow puller but that just speaks to the quality of the target. Most holes have self healed. I would recommend the target

This is an awesome target that I'm sure will last for many years (decades for us). Our only issue was difficulty removing crossbow bolts from the target. A metal pliers type arrow removal tool fixed this problem. Note: do not waste money on the cheap rubber hand grip pullers - they did not work for me.

Absolutely the best broadhead target around. Rinehart products are not cheap but they are great! I am shooting Easton's Deep Six arrows and this target does a great job of stopping them with either field points or fixed blade broadheads. One of the best things about this target is the fact that you can easily pull field point equipped arrows-not so with other broadhead targets. Very durable too-been sitting out in my yard for 5 months straight and only weathering is the bright target spots are starting to get bleached by the sun-still can see as aiming points, but not nearly as bright as when new. Other than that there is no dry rotting or damage to the rest of the material. Another great thing was when I bought it I got free shipping from Amazon and that is hard to beat. I also have a Rinehart 18-1, which is also an awesome product.

Just received my target yesterday and have yet to use it. And even if it holds up to the hype I still can't believe how poorly it is constructed. It has the appearance of being fabricated roadside in Tijuana. Chunks of the animal profile are missing, the spray paint is elementary school stencil, and the cutouts for the inserts are not even close to the same shape as the inserts. And finally it has a round hose sticking out the side. Why I can't tell.

I recognize in using this product I will slowly destroy it and its appearance should not be paramount. But you have to have some pride in appearance when you sell a target for $200.

Recently bought this target for a 305-fps crossbow firing fieldpoints on carbon bolts. The bolts stop dead after approx. 4 inches and the target doesn't move a bit. I love that there's six sides to shoot at, including the two 3-D sides for a little variety, and the self-healing foam works exactly as advertised. The only complaint I have is that bolt extraction is not easy. Forget two-finger removal, the bolt won't budge without an arrow puller or something similar. All in all, I'm very satisfied and would highly recommend this target for high-speed bows.

Best target ever, period! I've have abused over 10 high priced targets in the past 15 years, by far, Rinehart has cracked the code for durability and material.

Just got this target a short while ago. I have allready put quit a few arrows into it. So far it has only been field-tips, but its obvious that it will stop everything. I really like the way it seals the arrow hole. The only negative I currently have is it been a two handed pull to extract an arrow. That being said I love this target!! I would definitely buy another, but i doubt that I ever need to.....unless someone steels it. Take Care, Happy Hunting.
