I have had this program for about a year now. This is my second copy (cant find my first one). I LOVE this program and so does my daughter! It works just like it says it does!! I havent bought a ringtone or graphic since I first got it. You can take any song or picture and make a ringtone or graphic out of it! I have made graphics for my phone from all kinds of pictures on the web. It is a really cool program! Very easy to use, instructions are very clear and easy to follow. Support at the website is a bit hard to navigate but its very rare that you need it. I first got it to use with my razr V3 and now my daughter and I use it for my Blackjack 2 and her Tilt. It says to make a ringtone no longer than 15 to 20 seconds, we have pushed it to 35 seconds. I would recommend this to anyone who changes ringtones and graphics on their phones like my daughter and I do. I LOVE THIS PROGRAM!!!!

ok but......,
This review is from: Ring Factory - Never Pay For Ringtones Again (CD-ROM)
found this software and thought why not? it works well with my t-mobile razr. i like that i can send longer rings of songs to my phone and can make backgrounds out of pretty much any pic i can find online. but i had to register my phone number so i could only send stuff to my phone. if i wanted to send sounds or pics to others i had to forward the file to them. also, once installed it only lasts a year, i tried to get a new ringtone today and it said i needed to buy the new edition of the software. overall decent, but certainly not unlimited.

I already own this and I'm buying it for a friend. I love the fact that I can select my favorite part of a song and have it as my ringtone.Keep in mind that not all songs come through perfectly clear. You have to know your phone and what kind of sounds work best. I'm very happy with this product!

good product, but misleading,
This review is from: Ring Factory - Never Pay For Ringtones Again (CD-ROM)
I have really liked using Ring Factory. The sound quality is great. I couldn't figure out how to send it to my phone so I ended up using a different program that would only let me send 20 seconds of the song, so I'd just edited my favorite part. The misleading part is that it says "make unlimited ringtones" and "Never pay for ringtones again" not true. The fine print says the $9.99 purchase is only for a year subscription, each year it expires and you have to repay the $9.99. . .not exactly unlimited, and you DO have to pay again if you want to keep making ringtones.

Software could use some tweaking,
This review is from: Ring Factory - Never Pay For Ringtones Again (CD-ROM)
I didn't expect much from a $9 piece of software but I was able to make some ringers for my IPhone. The sound quality was very good and depends on the bit rate of the song; the software could use a timeline on the song you're editing so you know how many seconds you're at. Only advanced setting it offers is amplifier, could really use fade in/out. You have to rename the song again in Itunes because Itunes uses the advanced properties to list in Itunes and not the file name you gave when you saved it.

The good thing about getting a new cell phone is that you tend to have new features that you really like. The bad thing is that you lose your ringtones. This software takes away the high cost of you having to pay for the same ringtones every time you get a new phone. The only thing I don't like about this software is that you have to search for the part of the song you want. For only $9.99 though, I do it and have ringtones I like!

Ring Factory,

I purchased this for our phones. Works great, software is easy to use. We are on Verizon. WARNING-- the quality of the ring tone sent to a Samsung JUKE phone is horrible. My two other phones are RAZRs and they come through fine. I sent one ringtone to a T-Mobile customer and he had to visit the ring tone web site in order for it to finish download. But for our four Verizon phones, it's been fine. Another fun amazon product (that you can use in combination with this one) is 100 Ready-Made Ringtones. Download it from the amazon.com site.

Very misleading!,

I purchased the program a little over a year ago but did not use it as I just never got around to making ring tones for my cell phone. I now have a need for it and will have to purchase another years "subscription" in order to use it. On the original box all of the large print advises that "Never Pay For Ring Tones Again!" I don't have the best vision and was unable to read the extremely small print without a magnifying glass that states "1 year subscription". Had I been able to read this without a magnifying glass that I do not routinely carry with me, I certainly would not have wasted the money. On the back of the box it states with letters that are just as small that the Free Ring Tones that you never have to pay for have the following options: A second phone can be registered for another $9.99. Then 20 ring tones are only $1.99 each for a total of $39.80. And,30 of the free ring tones can be purchased for only $1.99 for a total of $59.70.It is too late for me to take it back to the store and I certainly will not spend another $9.99 to subscribe to this program that may or may not even work with my phone as it also does not state on the box anywhere that you have to go to their web site to see if your phone is supported. In my household there are four of us with cell phones. In order to use the program for all four phones, I would need to multiply the subscription cost by four. That is of course, if the program allows more than two phones to be registered. In the case of myself and my wife, I doubt that we would be changing ring tones often. However, our teenage children would most likely be using the program often and the cost would be ridiculously prohibited to use this program. I would rather pay the roughly same amount per tone for them to just purchase what they want via the Internet. I am just going to toss it out and say, congratulations to those of you that like it and are willing to keep renewing the program each year.

So I bought a new phone and went to the phone store (Verizon). They could transfer my contact list, but couldn't (or wouldn't) transfer the measly eight or nine ringtones I had purchased from them over the previous 3 years. No problem, thought I. I'll go home and noodle it out myself with my new phone, my old phone, and a usb cord. Well, the usb for my new phone wouldn't do data (it was "charging only") and data transfer cables for it cost 25$ on the internet. Are you seeing a pattern here? The carriers and phone manufacturers don't want it to be easy; they want to keep us paying four or five bucks for each ringtone which they chose, allowing us to use segments of the song they choose. Fast forward to me buying Ringfactory. The setup was simple, it really does allow you pick the exact passage you like from the song you own on CD or on your computer, and the transfer was simple. I did mine over the web). I'm not the most computer-skilled person in the world, but this interface was simple and intuitive, and now I have passages from some of my favorite songs set as ringtones and alerts. As far as I'm concerned it paid for itself many time over the first time I used it. SUPERB, LIKE I SAID I COULDN'T BE HAPPIER WITH THIS PURCHASE!!!

Not exactly unlimited.....,
This review is from: Ring Factory - Never Pay For Ringtones Again (CD-ROM)
I am on my 3rd copy of this program so YES - we do enjoy it but it's very misleading to say never pay for ringtones again since this software expires after the 12 month period and you need to re-purchase for another $9.99 subscription. I don't see anything about that in the item description so be forewarned and get your full 12 months worth of ringtones before it expires!
