Book Description

Daniel Elliot dies in a single-car accident one rainy English night. His wife, Grace, is grief stricken. Although their marriage was imperfect, sheltered Grace doesn't relish the future alone.

She soon learns how little she knew about Daniel. There are secrets: an alias, a strange list of numbers, a house in Florida - and a mistress who's a dead ringer for Grace.

Terrified but determined, she flies to Florida. Underworld figures stalk her...and so does the other woman. To her surprise, handsome FBI man Jack West takes the case. Grace has a past with the troubled agent. Despite her efforts, she finds herself falling for him all over again.

With danger around every curve, Grace and Jack navigate the criminal world of south Florida to find the truth behind the Ring of Lies.
PLEASE NOTE:  Ring of Lies is written in British English, using standard British spelling and grammar.

Review ;)

An emotional roller coaster that was fast paced , filled with murder, suspense, lies, and romance. I really enjoyed this mysterious storyline, the plot smoothly flowed from one chapter to the next, and the end finalized swiftly but efficiently to give the reader a well delivered finale to a susspensful read. Romance was present not the main factor in the read but I felt this was evenly distributed to give us those elements we look forward in any suspenseful romance thriller.

2.0 out of 5 stars Sigh... February 15, 2013

Anyone else tired of horrendously naive heroines who refuse to follow the lead or advice of professionals? Grace constantly whimpers, whines, and makes excuses for the criminals she loves. It was a relief to finish this book.

3.0 out of 5 stars Ring of lies October 16, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I like very much romantic suspense. This is the first book I read from this author. I find this book is missing something. The plot is very good, but the heroine is bordering stupid and the male character is lacking passion. It's a good read, but not a keeper. It also has many editing mistakes. I think it could have been sooooo much better.

2.0 out of 5 stars Predictable fluff February 13, 2013

Ok for a beach read. Characters superficial. Not enough depth for me. The summary and the book cover drew my attention but I was disappointed with the content

4.0 out of 5 stars Ring of Lies. December 17, 2012
By J.R.W.
Format:Kindle Edition
I enjoyed this. A well plotted, crime mystery with some romance.
Following her husbands death, Grace discovers that Daniel had been leading a whole secret life; an underground, criminal life. Grace makes some chilling discoveries about her loveless marriage.
Not only did her deceased husband own a luxury beach house in Florida but he also had a second passport and all manner of complicated bank accounts.
Handsome FBI agent Jack West becomes involved not only in her dangerous business affairs, but captures her heart too.
A small negative; slightly contrived instances in characterisation here and there. However, there is plenty of well paced action (including a very realistic sex scene) and a good build of tension to the finale.
Very readable.

It was a good story, but I prefer not to see all the four-letter words and using the name of God as a curse. I won't be reading any more of her books.
