This is one of my favorite recordings of Irish music no matter the player. James Kelly is an enormously talented fiddler with a great feel and an impeccable sense of timing and space within a tune. Zan Mcleod is a very tasteful accompanist. He does exactly what a fine accompanist is supposed to do, which is to support the soloist and keep the tune interesting by varying the harmonic content and adding tasteful fills. The rest of the supporting cast are fine, fine musicians. Hopefully this CD will remain in print. If you love good traditional Irish music you'll like this disc.
