5.0 out of 5 stars Very pleased with my purchase
I bought the size nine ring and it ended up too small. I would suggest you go to a jeweler and ask to have them size your bottle opening finger.

That said if you DO end up with a ring that's too small, take a dremmel and go to town on it. Worked out fine in the end. If you're not sure what size you need, make sure you order the lower of sizes that you think...

3.0 out of 5 stars Cheap
Shamrock is wearing off. Thought it would be on both sides of the ring; but is only on one side. Ring bends under the pressure of removing caps.

This review is from: Ring Thing Bottle Opener: Shamrock Design (Apparel)
I bought the size nine ring and it ended up too small. I would suggest you go to a jeweler and ask to have them size your bottle opening finger.

That said if you DO end up with a ring that's too small, take a dremmel and go to town on it. Worked out fine in the end. If you're not sure what size you need, make sure you order the lower of sizes that you think it may be. You're going to want this ring as tight on your finger as you can live with. If there's any kind of space the edge of it will dig into your finger and essentially make it impossible to use.

For any review you read pertaining to these rings, make sure the reviewer has one that fits his/her finger! Mine fits, and it works incredibly well without any kind of pain. That is, it doesn't hurt when opening pry off cap bottles. Twist off caps are a different story. Those HURT like you wouldn't believe, and I think a lot of negative reviews are a result of that.

4.0 out of 5 stars Fun and useful, but uncomfortable, April 3, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I love the concept of a ring that opens bottles! It's useful at parties, but it doesn't work well in combination with more stylish rings. The bridge design is too simple and the metal edges can be bothersome, but it sure is useful!

It looks good on your finger and is well built been using for about a week of work opened about 300 bottles with it no ware or bending yet great for a bar tender or at a party no finding a bottle opener any more.

Thought I chose the right size, but it was a little too small. It fits on my ring finger a little bit loosely, which abrades the skin away after three or four beers. Measure twice, buy once.
