Ringo IS "The Greatest" when it comes to drumming, charm, and getting some fabulous (although not always FAB) musicians together. Regarding this CD (not the DVD version), I have listened over and over again to it in my office as I work. It really is a good music CD that captures the energy of the concert. I saw him live with this 2006 line-up at Fantasy Springs Resort, Coachella Valley, CA - that's the Palm Springs area for those of you from Rio Linda...or Europe.

Now, the big "BUT": It's always been my impression that the "credits" give people their due when it comes to the art and creative work people put in to getting a piece like this on the street. From the musicians to the producers to the studios to the songwriters to the "thanks to God and everybody else".

However, this CD release by 67 year old Beatle Ringo Starr has one notorious omission: that of the layout artist/artwork. And if you like to read all those notes like I do, it's usually fun to see who we know, or who's name we've seen on other releases that may give us an indication of the quality expected...or not.

This person's omission becomes understandable when you see how many misspellings, incorrect grammar, extra spaces between words, missing song credits (It Don't Come Easy - 1st song), and edit glitches ("...include Sheila E in support Edgar Winter on Frankenstein..." - also note the extra space between "in" and "support"). I wouldn't want that person's name in the booklet either. The Ringo camp sent everything to the record company to manufacture "as is". I called Koch Records and that's the information I got.

It's sophomoric at best. As an indy producer, I make it my responsibility to check, re-check, and triple-check spelling, grammar, and the layout balance BEFORE anything goes to the printer! Someone REALLY didn't care to make the elementary corrections here. Shame on Koch Records for not getting the person responsible to get it right. You know they'll never sell enough of these to go to a 2nd printing, so....history is left with a marred product. Not becoming of the treatment deserved by Beatle Ringo.

i have many of these different ringo and his all star band dvd's and cd's but i like this one the best the line up is the best so far ive seen ringo twice once in kingston n.h. his 1st tour and in 2010 at the bank boston pavilion with my 12 yr old daughter and it was a great show.

Other reviewers points about repetition on Ringo's stuff on all the All-Starr Band releases is well taken (though here, we do get "What Goes On" for the first time ever), but if you're a Beatle fan, it's cool to have Ringo playing on all the OTHER stuff. I didn't mind at all hearing him drum on other All-Starrs stuff like (say) "Rocky Mountain Way", "Life In The Fast Lane" and "Do You Feel Like We Do" in the past. Same holds true here - hearing him drum on "Free Ride", "Hold Your Head Up" and "She's Not There" doesn't really suck. And if you've seen him on the current 2008 tour - you know he's sounding better than ever. I'm already set to plunk down my $$$ for the 2008 CD, even if "Oh My My" is the only new Ringo song in the bunch.

I just received this DVD. It is a very enjoyable production. The musicians on the DVD are all top notch and extremely talented, but I don't think the sound quality really captured that. It could have been better.
Overall the picture quality was good and the interviews interspersed throughout made it very interesting. It was a pleasure to see and hear great musicians really showing what they are made of. It was worth the cost.

I've seen Ringo Starr & His All Star Band many times, and each time I am amazed at how good Ringo looks, performs, and celebrates the art of entertainment. His shows are great, and never a dull moment. This is also true of this CDs, and this one included. The man is a performing genius and his electricity is definitely heard in this music, and as well as the other performers in the All Star Band. This is definitely worth it!

Bought this CD as a present and it went over really well. And I like it, too!

Who doesn't just Love Ringo! He is the Greatest!!! & hanging out with his awesome friends it's just icing on the cake! This group of guys & girl are just incredible!!!

Great set of cuts. If you were fortunate enough to catch the tour, this is a must have. If you missed it, get the CD and enjoy it at your convenience.

After the dead of John and George is good to see Paul and Ringo in good form, playing and recording without stop... this keep us alive !

Im a huge collector of Beatles music and solo Beatles music.But come on Ringo enough is enough.How many more All Star band cd's are you gonna release.90% of the tracks are the same as the other All Star band releases.You want help from your friends and fans.Stop the saturation.If you own one you own them all.I do enjoy Ringo's studio cd's .But MR> Starr weve had enough ALL Star band cd's thankyou.
