If your main criteria is qaulity guitar playing, than this is for you. I love the guitar and therefore love this CD. However, there is a lot not to like.The singing is below par and gets a bit enoying after a little while. The backing is OK, but compared to other CD's in this genre it is weak. The production sound is a bit tinny . The songs are vehicles for solos and thats about all. They thrash every blues / boogie standard riff to within an inch of its life. Lyrics????? best not go there. If that sounds terrible, well it is but there is always the guitar. BOY can this guy play!!!! HE plays with total abandon and confidence and if all you look for are solos, than this is for you. GUITAR PLAYING 5 ++ stars MOST EVERYTHING ELSE 1 star |
