I needed a small stand for a punching bag, and this was the best that I could find. Solidly built, and doesn't move too much with weight attached to it. Make sure you get at least 40-50 pounds on each of the legs and behind the bag otherwise it will jump around on you. With the weight on it the stand moves very little on carpet, even when whaling on the thing.

Fits in a 4' by 4' space and is probably 7 feet tall, so it should fit in most places. I have a 100 pound bag on it, and it feels secure. It may be too short for taller people though. I'm 5'8 and the bag is almost as high as I can mount it for high punches. Over 6' tall and you may not be able to do high jabs. It's not height adjustable either, beyond what the bag itself allows for adjustments.

Can't really think of a way to improve this stand other than height adjustability, which isn't an issue for me. Owned it for a few weeks, but it seems like it will last a long time. I will update my review if I run into any problems.

This was purchased as a gift for me and it looks like my complaints are similar to other reviewers. They are:
1) It is incorrectly manufactured and the holes for the side supports do not line up with the vertical beam; I am unable to fully assemble the product due to this.
2) The Ringside web site claims the stand is 88 inches tall yet mine was 93 inches; this is too high for the room I'll be using the bag/stand.
3) The bag tie-downs (on the legs) as shown in the picture do not exist; IMO, these are essential for a bag stand.

Given #1, I can not recommend this product to anyone. Items #2/3 may or may not be an issue for other buyers.

I got this stand one week ago.

Pros:
-It looks pretty solid, good height.
-Great bang for the buck
-Easy to assemble
-Extra support on the sidew

Cons
- Perhaps, it needs some weights on the sides to make it more stable if you are a 'wanna be UFC fighter' (Not me)
-If you buy from Canada. UPS charges their broker fee and customs charge tax. This came up to $60. This pretty much blew the deal for me as I may have paid as much for it here. If you are from Canada just get it ship to one of those receiver places near the border, pick it up and cross the border back. I have never been charged tax before so I though I could get away with it once more :P


In general, it's good so far. Recommended

I bought this for my wife for christmas because she is starting to take tea kwon do and I thought it would be a great product for the price. I quickly learned that the product is not all grey, it is a grey stand and a BRIGHT RED bag holder. Honestly I can't decide whether the company that send it to me were being a bunch of jerks and put the wrong stand part in the box. The holes for the braces don't match up. If I keep it I will have to drill holes. Also, in the pic it has the hooks at the bottom for smaller bags, AND IT DOESN'T. This product and the company I bought it from are terrible. Thanks for the false advertisement. Thanks for making my wife's Christmas miserable. Thanks for nothing!

This product arrived earlier than expected. The posts are made of heavy duty steel and they aligned perfectly fine. Easy set up and it's holding up great with my 100Lb heavy bag. I did my research prior to purchasing this stand and it is by far the best value out there.

This is a terrific Heavy Bag Stand, especially for the price and free shipping!! There are other reviews that mention that there are issues with assembly, but anyone who has ever put something together can do this easily. The trick is to not tighten any bolts until everything is aligned, otherwise you may have issues. It only took me 15 minutes until I was using this bag. It is very sturdy and can handle heavy strikes. Get this while you can...

Oh ya, the stand is 7'9"... and it is as pictured above. Great seller...

It's great for the price but is too low for the bag I have. I'm going to have to modify the chain to make it work. Keep that in mind when buying. If you are pretty serious about hit'n a heavy bag on a regular basis save some money and get something a little better.

Our area to keep the stand (already had the bag from previous Christmas), was limited. This is the smallest workable stand. It is just what I was looking for and arrived timely, as promised.

I bought this because I have a height restriction in my basement. It is not the height they mentioned. I have sent this morons a email asking them beforehand to update the configurations as it is misleading. It is more than 6 ft tall, which I had to cut the beam to fit it in my basement. If I had known the height I would not have bought this item. 1 star for misleading me, and for not updating their size configurations.
