Works as intended,

This review is from: Rinnai STDKITVA-S21 Standard Termination Kit, LS-Series Only (Tools & Home Improvement)
This vent kit works fine. The sleeves that go on either side of the white tube are a little tight to get on. I ended up using a heat gun to warm them up and made them more pliable and able to slip on. A blow dryer would work too.

Rinnai Vent Kit,
This review is from: Rinnai STDKITVA-S21 Standard Termination Kit, LS-Series Only (Tools & Home Improvement)
As said by another reviewer, the rubber escutcheons are a very tight fit but, once they're on the pipe (both inside and out), they make a very tight seal against the wall. Also note that the pipe should be angled downward toward the outside to allow for condensation drip in cold weather. As with all the Rennai products, well designed and high in quality.

VENT KIT AND RISER PIPE FOR RINNAI 94LSI 9.4 GPM,

This review is from: Rinnai STDKITVA-S21 Standard Termination Kit, LS-Series Only (Tools & Home Improvement)
If you buy the Rinnai 94LSI This vent kit is perfect if you plan on putting it in your furnace room where you have your old gas hot water tank heater. I borrowed a dri-core machine from work (its just a huge 9inch grinder with a diamond tip coring bit on it) and used a 6 inch core bit for the brick out side but the first thing I did was use a 5 3/4 inch hole saw on the inside where there is a wood 2x10 that's part of the foundation. I Hole sawed that out then made a template for the core bit outside on the brick, cored that out and slipped in the vent piping it worked beautifully, make sure you order this with your Rinnai.
The following is the review I gave for the stack piping (You will need to buy this also) that ties into the 90 that comes with the vent piping that I reviewed above......... Pay attention, this pipe is cheaper than the 19.5 inch piece that they sell but its longer. If you are hanging this on the wall in your furnace room like I did, the 19 inch piece is the exact size you will need for an appropriate height on the wall to hang the unit, then you add the 90 that comes with the vent kit you can buy on line and it comes out to about 23 or 24 inches from the center of your vent hole to the top of the unit itself. The thing is when I bought the 39 inch piece it was cheaper than buying the 19 inch piece, all I had to do was cut the 39 inch piece to the correct size, so for the inconveince of having to cut the pipe I saved some money, about 25.00 dollars (check out the current prices) I also bought the vent kit from Amazon. The Rinnai unit I bought was the 9.5 gpm unit and the only thing it came with was the wall template, and a 3/4" gas valve, which I new I was gonna have to up size my 1/2" gas line from the old hot water tank to this new instantaneous hot water tank. Side note: when cutting this pipe it actually is 2 cuts because it is a dual pipe, one is for fresh air the other is to vent the exhaust, one cut is further out from the other so it can fit in the female recepticle on the tank and the male end on the 90. Instructions on how to cut this are with the vent kit and the 39 inch piece also, don't sweat it.Thanks, pipefittermike on ebay. Look for some of my how to videos on-line on youtube just punch in pipefittermike, thanks
