I noted that the actual description is a "Rio Adventure Camp Cot (King-Size)". It is an "adventure" sleeping on it... as for it being "king-size" they must be referring to the "gnome-king" in the "Wizard of ID". This is only 22 inches wide and 74 inches long. I am 5'10", so the length is okay. But my shoulders are considerably wider than 22" and I have to sleep on my...

I live in a dorm and bought this product for when my friends end up staying the night. I bought the Kingsize because I have several tall friends that stay over sometimes. This cot is a well made prduct and I would recomment it to anyone looking to buy a cot that folds like this. It isn't something i would bring on a camping trip or anything like this since it only folds in 1/2 (does not collapse to a compact size). It fits nicely between the head of my bed and the wall when folded. Also I don't know how well it would hold up on uneven ground. The frame is thin walled tubing like you would find on a beach chair.
In terms of size limits. It is long enough to sleep my freind who is 6'5". (i don't know if he hangs over the edge or not. My 6'2" friend sleeps comfortably on it. The weight limit says 220lbs, however i tip the scales at 245 and have slept on it several times with no ill effects. When looking to purchase it I was a little worried about the width (only 2 feet) but now that i have slept on it i have no complaints about the width.

3.0 out of 5 stars Rio Camp Cot, October 21, 2007

I noted that the actual description is a "Rio Adventure Camp Cot (King-Size)". It is an "adventure" sleeping on it... as for it being "king-size" they must be referring to the "gnome-king" in the "Wizard of ID". This is only 22 inches wide and 74 inches long. I am 5'10", so the length is okay. But my shoulders are considerably wider than 22" and I have to sleep on my right or left side. I can sleep on my back, but I have to fold my arms across my chest to be reasonably comfortable. I have used them two times on camping trips. But there is a problem with this type camp cot. First, it should be 24-26 inches wide and there should be a safety strap that should connect each of the "end" supports with the end of the sleeping frame to keep this cot stable when you get up in the middle of the night. You can make do with the size (but this should be improved by the manufacturer to widen it), but you do not need an unstable support. A strap at both ends that snap to the cot would prevent it from collapsing when you least expect it. This has happened twice. Also, they could make the supports longer so that it is 18" off the ground rather 12"... it is tough to get up from this cot. This particular model might be good for 12-14 year old child. It is hardly the type cot that I would purchase for an adult. It also has weight limitation of 220 lbs. I am 200 lbs, so it works. The fabric that is used on the cot is okay. Not great, just okay. This cot was manufactured in China... and manufactured cheaply.

2.0 out of 5 stars Noisy Cot, August 25, 2008

I did not like this product because although it was sturdy and easy to set up for use, it fabric that it is made of rustles, crackles, scratches and is generally very noisy if you move around on the cot. For a light sleeper, this would not be a great product. I purchased it to use for extra guest, and the convenience of storing the cot. When it arrived, I slept on it the entire night to test it out. The product is fairly comfortable and stable, but the sound of the material is annoying and I could not break it in.

I'm going to graduate school and needed a place I could lie down and take a rest every once and a while.

This was the perfect solution. It folds up nice and can be hidden underneath my desk at the lab and easily unfolds.

It is extremely comfortable also.

This cot is lightweight, folds pretty flat and is quite comfortable. It is a little to low to the ground to be comfortable for an older adult. But for children, teens, and young adults it is great.

The cot is very comfortable and easy to set up. It is also very lightweight! But unfortunately the legs collapse easily and therefore pose a safety risk. Manufacturer needs to rethink how to make legs more stable!

Rio Adventure Camp Cot (King-Size) For the price this is an exceptional product. I bought 2 for camping and they are excellent. Anyone looking to pay more thinking they would get a better product are looking for disappointment.

This is a great product. We Purchased eight of these for our grandkids to use over Thanksgiving...the delivery was as promised...the products were as described in the product information. Well built and good quality fabric and stitching. The kids really enjoyed using them in our bonus room...all 8 of them. I recommend this product without reserve.

This cot worked just fine as a backup bed for a house full of Christmas guests. One person found it a bit narrow, but in general it suited the purpose.

This turned out to be a great cot. Well off the ground, sturdy and yet light weight. Provides enough room to turn over and not roll off.
