5.0 out of 5 stars Good quality table for a reasonable price
I thought that this item was too good to be true for the price. I was wrong. It's a very high quality, sturdy table with more than enough space for eight players. Many of these poker tables are flimsy and are too small and cramped for any big groups of people. However, the construction of this item is very solid. And, because it was bought through Amazon, I not only...

3.0 out of 5 stars Good value, but you get what you pay for -3.5 stars
This table is pretty solid. Fairly heavy for a folding table, and slightly unstable. The instability in my case comes from one of the legs being slightly shorter then the other 3. Also, the mechanism for locking the legs in place is a metal button that pops out through a hole, and it has gotten stuck a couple times trying to push it back in. Locking the legs in place when...

4.0 out of 5 stars Great table for the money..., May 17, 2007

The table is surprisingly sturdy and pretty well made. The plastic is very heavy duty, the felt is smooth and tightly pulled, and the legs are good quality steel.

The table may have been stored in a damp location because the underside had a bit of rust. But who cares since its on the bottom.

Finally, I may not trust the cup holders all that much. I did have the table on a carpet so that might have added to the instability, but overall it seemed a little unstable.

I am glad I bought this table- its a great bargain and great bang-for-your-buck.

Locking the legs in place when setting up the table hasn't been a problem. In addition to that, it came originally without one of the rubber feet that goes on the bottom of the legs and I had to badger RIO into sending me one, which they did after 3 weeks, for free. They had a replacement program running for an entire line of tables that were shipped out without feet (not the poker table) and seemed not surprised at all that their stuff was sent out with missing pieces. The chip trays as well are slightly too small so that when you have chips lined up in there it's tight and they're not as easy as they should be to get them out, though thats being a bit nitpicky. All of that said, for this price you're not going to find anything better, and its performed pretty well for a full table of people on several occasions so far. Just keep in mind, you get what you pay for and this thing is cheap.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Poker Table, May 13, 2009
The table arrived quickly, works well, and drew excellent compliments. The legs are not an issue as some reviewers noted. You just need strong thumbs to activate the 'fold release' button on each leg. A great choice!

4.0 out of 5 stars Almost Perfect, May 29, 2008

For the price, this poker table was the best that I could find. Looked great right out of the box. Had a card game with my friends. Everyone, complimented me on my new poker table. I didn't think the poker table was that big of a deal, but my friends were very interested in buying one also. Like the title says, "Almost Perfect", the only flaw with my poker table is that one of the legs did not lock into place. However, that's not a big deal since the other 3 did. I'm also lucky enough to be able to store it behind our entertainment center.

4.0 out of 5 stars Get out the tools, March 31, 2008
This review is from: Rio Brands Foldaway Octagon Poker Table (Sports)
As a previous review stated: The table arrived with nearly no box. It appeared as though various pieces of cardboard were reattached with tape by FedEx. Though some of the packaging was missing, the table survived without damage. For the money, this table can't be beat. However, two of the four folding legs did not fully open. The spring pins that snap into place once the legs are extended (on the two bad legs) had corroded against the metal tubing and separated - leaving the pins non-functional. I could have rolled the dice - returned the package - and hoped for a better outcome with another shipment, but I decided to fix the problem myself. Having removed the broken spring pins and reassembling the legs, I drilled the existing spring-pin holes and inserted a 3/8 hitch pin instead (common hardware store item). The table now works and looks great. It seems that ordering this item may be a little risky - but worth the gamble (if you have the tools).

We received our table much quicker than what Amazon had predicted. We host monthly Texas Hold'em tournaments at our house and set up two tables to do so. We now have this table as well as a long table. Everyone wants to sit at this table because it is so much easier to see the cards and you have so much more arm room. Also, the chip trays built into the table give you so much more room on the table itself. It folds up easily and doesn't take up much room in our garage. We are 100% satisfied with our purchase.

Sturdy. Tight felt. Looks great. Heavy duty plastic. Problems: Cup holders could be deeper, very easy to knock something over. Not much chip space (only a problem if you're winning!), and difficult to close up the legs. All fairly minor details & I think this was a great purchase.

5.0 out of 5 stars It is much better than expected, December 8, 2009

I ordered this for a birthday gift for a friend that loves to play cards. She was both surprised and delighted. The table is ealy to setup, good weight and stable. It is strong and holds the drinks without any fear of spilling because there is no wobble of the table. It was much better than expected and quick delivery was great.
