Product Description

The two hedgehogs won! You ask, "How could that happen?" It all started with a stately lion, who was chased away by an elephant. The single elephant naturally yields to a pair of elephants. Then two mice came along and scared the elephants away. Finally, the two hedgehogs came and bested the mice. A pair of foxes could have won, but they stayed away and left the victory to the hedgehogs. If you are not yet a believer, play and see for yourself! Players: 2-7 Ages: 10 and up Playing Time: 60 minutes

4.0 out of 5 stars Fun alternative to regular card deck., September 8, 2007
= Durability:4.0 out of 5 stars  = Fun:4.0 out of 5 stars  = Educational:2.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Frank's Zoo (Toy)
I've played this game a number of times, and thoroughly enjoy it. It is played in a very similar manner to a game sometimes called "Presidents" which can also be played as a drinking game. In essence, you want to get rid of the cards in your hand, by playing the next higher card. This is just a fun variation where, instead of playing a Jack to beat a 10, you play a seal to beat a fish. However, when you play with basic number cards, you eventually get to the top with the highest card. With Frank's zoo, you can get as high as an elephant, but a mouse can be played which beats an elephant, and your back to the lower cards again. It's true that this game isn't as easy to play as playing with regular number cards, because it's hard to remember what a hedgehog can be played after, but the cards themselves have pictures on them to tell you when they can be played. This game takes an old card game concept, and gives it new life. I have been looking in stores to buy this game, and can't wait until I get it.

4.0 out of 5 stars only for kids, May 6, 2007
= Durability:3.0 out of 5 stars  = Fun:4.0 out of 5 stars  = Educational:2.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Frank's Zoo (Toy)
I mistakenly bought this to play with adults and the pictures were too confusing for at least one player each time we played. I think this would be a great game for kids because they have sharp little eyes and can remember better than the people I played with.
