Product Description

From the Manufacturer

There are five variations on how to play. The goal in all of them is to build a tower. The bag contains very different wooden pieces (i.e. an ashlar, an egg, a ring, a fir tree etc.), as well as a sack of beans for the auction variation of the game. Depending on the variation you choose, either each player builds his own tower or, all build one together. The auction variations are the most suspenseful and surprising. One might end up spending quite some beans to avoid building an especially difficult element. Gambling and bluffing abilities are needed just as much as a feeling for statics and construction skills. It’s a game with almost endless building possibilities.

Product Description

Building is completely reinvented here! 66 totally crazy building components unhinge the laws of construction analysis. More than a billion different construction possiblities provide the most audacious designs and completely bizarre structures: "Will the fir tree still fit between the egg cup and the napkin ring...? "Feel free to tremble - as long as your hands are steady!!! Besides a sensitive touch and teh creative readiness to assume risk, you will also need a gambler's spirit and the talent of bluffing. By clever auctioning you pass disagreeable building components as "poisoneed presents" to your opponents. Bausack provides dazzling entertainment and a special tactile treat for the young and the young at heart. Zoch wishes you good nerves! Duration of the game: 30 exciting minutes. Materials: 66 wooden game blocks, 1 cotton sack, 80 plastic pearls in a bag, 1 set of instructions Not suitable for children under three years: the game contains small parts that can be swallowed.

I was introduced to this game at a tech conference in January and loved it right away. After several weeks of calling and waiting for different stores to stock it, I couldn't find the game anywhere in the states and was told it was out of print in the states. It was delivered quickly and all the pieces were brand new.
Note that the pieces actually look better than they appear on the box.

A frustrating game but fun and even suspenseful. Good for brainy adults. Try different variations like a "buy back in" version where if your tower falls you can pay two or three diamonds from your 10 and rebuild. That keeps everybody in the game longer. No fun getting kicked out early. Can also do a version that earns diamonds by betting on others' success or failure. Can also turn into a great drinking game...Great game!
