Comfortable and utilitarian - two of my favorite things!,

This review is from: Rio Sports Ultra-Light Backpack Chair (Sports)
Pros: Large storage bag, lightweight, comfortable, drink holder, aluminum/plastic parts won't rust
Con: Doesn't lay back as far as the steel version The first Rio chair I found was the steel version (the SC527) of this (SC529) aluminum chair so this review includes a comparison of the two. Having a lightweight and usable object when trying to walk over hot sand is important to me, and this really fits the bill. I pack a small cooler with some frozen sports bottles of water or juice and snacks, throw the essentials in the bag on the back, grab the umbrella and I'm off. (Note: I haven't taken this one to the beach yet but I have taken the SC527 and it was awesome). The bag has nice 5" x 7" flat velcro pocket inside and cell phone holder on the outside with flap/velcro closure The drink holder is perfectly sized for easy sports bottle use Legs lock for safety Approximate bag size: 13" h x 14" w x 5" d - a tad smaller than the SC527 8.3 pounds This chair and the SC527 both have backpack straps, a webbed carry loop on top, adjustable head rest and web/lock for closing chair to carry like a backpack or by the top. I'm very pleased with both chairs. My wishlist for this SC529 would include the same start position as the SC527 so I can lean back farther - waaay more comfy, and to stretch even further, include the plastic carabiner from the SC527 (not a big deal, I can put a carabiner on easily).

I love it, its comfortable, and the fabric is sturdy. It is practically weightless hen carrying it as a backpack and the bog pocket in the back fits a towel and all the other small gadgets that you want at the beach with you!I like it, I have been through many neach charis but this one has everything one.

great chair for comfort but backpack straps broke on both of ours in the first week. Ended up tying the straps together. I felt the hassle of returning large items was too much, so we're living with it.
